Bentley, Pace Claim Regular Season Titles and Top Seeds in NE10 Men’s Basketball Championship

MANSFIELD, Mass. – On the final day of the regular season, Bentley and Pace clinched the outright Northeast and Southwest Division titles, respectively, and earned first-round byes when the 2022 Northeast-10 Conference Men's Basketball Championship begins.

The Championship will have six cross-divisional matchups in first round play on Friday. The quarterfinal round is scheduled for Sunday, while the semifinals will be on Wednesday, March 2, and the final on Saturday, March 5. All NE10 teams automatically qualified for the Championship this season.

Bentley, ranked No. 20 in the NABC poll and No. 1 in the NCAA East Region rankings, is the top seed in the Northeast Division after a 14-5 record in conference play. The Falcons closed the regular season by winning five of their last six games. It is Bentley's 11th NE10 regular season title in program history.

Franklin Pierce finished with a 12-7 conference record, good for the No. 2 seed, while Saint Anselm comes in at No. 3, Stonehill at No. 4, Southern New Hampshire at No. 5, Assumption at No. 6 and Saint Michael's at No. 7.

Pace, ranked No. 8 in the NCAA East Region rankings, is the top seed in the Southwest Division following a 14-5 record in conference play. The Setters are undefeated in the month of February, going 6-0, while winning their last seven games overall. It is Pace's first NE10 regular season championship.

New Haven finished one game behind Pace in the NE10 standings, claiming the No. 2 seed. Adelphi came in at No. 3, Saint Rose at No. 4, Le Moyne at No. 5, Southern Connecticut at No. 6 and American International at No. 7.
