Four Players Named Preseason Honorable Mention All-Americans.
MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Northeast-10 Conference had 12 baseball players recognized by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) when it announced its Preseason All-East Region Team, with four players earning Preseason Honorable Mention All-American status, heading into the 2022 season.
Eight NE10 teams were represented in the NCBWA's announcements last week, with four teams earning multiple selections: Adelphi, Franklin Pierce, New Haven and Pace. Both Adelphi and Pace had two players selected to First Team All-East Region.
Adelphi's Matt Alifano, Franklin Pierce's Ian Battipaglia, Pace's Matt Almonte and Southern Connecticut's Tony Zambito were recognized on both the First Team All-East Region and Honorable Mention All-America teams.
Joining the foursome on First Team All-East Region honors was Adelphi's Tim Feliz, Bentley's Brandon Ostiguy, New Haven's Thomas Eletto, Pace's Christian Aich and Southern New Hampshire's Dakota Mulcay. All nine players were First Team All-Conference selections following the 2021 season.
Three NE10 players were named to the Second Team All-East Region, including Franklin Pierce's Randy Flores, New Haven's Robert Taylor and Stonehill's Conor Kiely.

The NE10 Baseball Coaches' Polls were announced on Monday afternoon. The 2022 season is slated to begin the weekend of Feb. 11-13 when Bentley visits Florida Tech. For the full schedule, click HERE.
