NE10 Player of the Week
Tyler Wells, New Haven

Wells had himself a week as he finished the five-game spread batting .706 with 12 hits in 17 at-bats, including in the four-game conference series alone against AIC where he hit .796 with 10 of his 12 total hits coming in 13 at bats. He opened up the week with a pair of base knocks and a walk in a mid-week win over the ECC powerhouse Molloy. He followed that up with a career-best game going a perfect 5-of-5 in the series opener against the Yellow Jackets. Among those five hits were three home runs and a triple as he collected four RBI in that game. The next day, he added three more hits across four at bats while he was walked five times in the Saturday doubleheader. He also added another RBI in the opening game of that DH. In the series finale on Sunday, Wells added two more hits to complete his week. He also registered three stolen bases for the week, all of which came against the Yellow Jackets.
NE10 Pitcher of the Week
John Rizzo, Adelphi
Freshman | Pitcher | Islip Terrace, N.Y.
Made the start on Saturday at Assumption and struck out 15 Greyhounds and walked only one across 7.1 innings. Struck out the side in two separate frames and registered two strikeouts in each of the first five innings he threw. Also earned the win in relief at SCSU and pitched a perfect ninth against the vaunted top of the Owls' lineup.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
John Rizzo, Adelphi

NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Matt Alifano, Adelphi (Jr, IF - Center Moriches, N.Y.)
In three games last week, Alifano batted a whopping .600 and drove in 10 RBIs, while slugging at a 1.400 clip. With his team trailing by a run in the ninth, Alifano hit a game-tying double down the left-field line and scored the eventual game-winning run in a 5-4 victory at SCSU in a battle of two teams vying for the NE10 Southwest Division regular-season title. He homered twice and was responsible for all seven RBI in a 7-4 win at Assumption over the weekend.
Angel Mendez, American Int'l (Sr., RHP/UT - New Haven, Conn.)
Mendez helped the Yellow Jackets to a pair of wins this week by slashing .556/.625/.722. He totaled 10 hits with six RBI, six runs, three doubles, while going 6-for-6 on the base path and drawing five walks.
Joel Lara, Franklin Pierce (Jr., OF - Boston, Mass.)
Hit .533/.563/.600, for a 1.163 OPS over 15 at-bats (8-for-15) as the Ravens took three of four at Stonehill over the weekend. Hit two doubles, drove in one run and scored five. Drew one walk, struck out three times and stole seven bases without being caught. Went 2-for-4, scored twice and stole a base in a weekend-opening 7-4 win on Friday. In Sunday's series finale, hit 4-for-5 with a double, scored twice, drove in one and stole four bases in a 13-11 victory.
Jacob Marshall, Le Moyne (Jr, P - Baldwinsville, N.Y.)
Marshall tossed his third consecutive seven-inning shutout in Le Moyne's 11-0 victory over Saint Rose on Sunday. He struck out seven and yielded just four hits.
Vincent Civitella, Pace (Fr., P - Clifton, N.J.)
Civitella tossed six no-hit innings in a 2-0 win over Southern Connecticut State on Saturday. He finished with six strikeouts and just one walk in his first career start.
Adam Betty, Saint Anselm (Fr., P - Lowell, Mass.)
Betty scattered just three hits across eight innings of work to open the Hawks four-game sweep of Saint Michael's on Saturday. The freshman struck out eight batters, good for a 9.00 K/9 ratio, and grabbed his fourth win of the season.
Jared Restmeyer, Saint Rose (Jr., P - Huntington Station, N.Y.)
Restmeyer allowed just the one run on four hits and fanned five over 7.0 innings in Sunday's second game versus Le Moyne to improve to 6-2 on the year.
Andrew Eng, Southern Conn. St. (Sr., OF - Ridgewood, N.J.)
In a 4-2 week, Eng led the Owls with a .381 (8-21) week in which he totaled five doubles, a home run, six RBI and seven runs scored, as well as four walks for a .519 on-base percentage while slugging .762. Against Pace in a four-game set, Eng was 6-for-14 with five RBI and six runs scored.
Anthony Poole, Southern N.H. (Fr., OF - So. Portland, Me.)
Poole went 8-for-16 at the plate during a 4-0 week for the Penmen, driving in eight runs and scoring five times, while slashing .500/.500/.750/1.250. Poole went 2-for-4 with four RBI and two runs scored in a series-opening 18-0 victory against Bentley on Thursday. He was 4-for-8 with an RBI and three runs score in the middle two games of the series, before picking up two more hits in four at bats in a 6-4 win in Saturday's second game of a doubleheader. Both of Poole's hits were triples, including one that cleared the bases and turned a 4-3 deficit into a 6-4 lead in the top of the seventh inning.
Matt Smith, Stonehill (Sr., OF/P - South Windsor, Conn.)
In his lone start against Franklin Pierce on April 23, Smith tossed a complete game and struck out a season-high six batters in the Stonehill victory. Smith is now currently tied for his career-high in strikeouts (23).
