NE10 Player of the Week
Blaine Lidsky, Stonehill
Junior | Catcher/Outfield | South Kingston, R.I.
Lidsky had a strong week for Stonehill, hitting a blistering.438 (14-32) that also included three home runs. His best game came against American International in a 7-6 thriller where he batted .800 (4-5) and belted a two-run homer that at the time gave the Skyhawks a 4-2 lead. During his week in Florida, Lidsky had four multi-hit games and is currently on a 10-game hit streak. With his solid week, Lidsky now leads the NE10 in multiple offensive categories including hits (24), home runs (five), and RBIs (18).
NE10 Pitcher of the Week
Randall Alejo, Saint Rose
Sophomore | Pitcher | Patchogue, N.Y.
Alejo fanned 11 and walked just one, while surrendering four hits during 8.0 innings of shutout ball in Friday's 5-1 win versus Alderson Broaddus in Wilson N.C. Alejo outdueled Battlers' junior right-hander Ryan Varley, who kept the Golden Knights off the board through 7.0-plus innings.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Peter Haas, Stonehill
Freshman | Pitcher | Hancock, N.H.
In his start last week, Haas continued his strong start for Stonehill going six innings allowing a career-low four hits, and fanning a career-high nine batters in Stonehill's 16-4 win over American International. Through each of his starts, Hass has struck out five or more batters.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Matt Alifano, Adelphi (Jr., IF - Center Moriches, N.Y.)
Alifano was the tablesetter atop the Adelphi lineup yet again in a 3-0 week. He drove in five runs on three doubles and scored two runs in a 9-2 win over Mercy (Mar. 8). Then came around to score four times and batted a combined 3-for-6 with three walks, a double and an RBI in a sweep of Bridgeport (Mar. 11).
Michael Storms, Adelphi (Jr, P - Nesconset, N.Y.)
Made his first collegiate start for the Panthers on Friday and cruised for five innings. The converted closer recorded five of his first six outs via strikeout and finished the afternoon with a career-high nine punchouts in a 10-0 win over Bridgeport.
Patrick Hannon, Franklin Pierce (Gr., LHP - Willington, Conn.)
Started the first game of a doubleheader at Queens (N.Y.) on Friday. Threw seven innings of one-run ball, scattered nine hits, walked two and struck out six on the way to the win.
Hunter Wilichoski, Franklin Pierce (So., RHP/DH - Hamilton, Mass.)
Hit .375/.444/.750 for a 1.194 OPS over eight at-bats (3-for-8), as the Ravens swept a doubleheader at Queens (N.Y.) on Friday. Clubbed a first-inning grand slam to set the tone in the first game.
Andrew Cain, New Haven (Sr., INF/P - Seaford, N.Y.)
In a pair of games against Mercy, Cain finished with four hits across the doubleheader, driving in two runs and scoring once to lead the Chargers. His four hits came on five at bats for an impressive .800 batting average on the day. Among those four hits was his first home run of the season.
Bryan Pazulski, New Haven (Jr, P - Media, Pa.)
In his lone appearance of the week, Pazulski earned his second victory of the season on the hill, throwing five innings without allowing and earned run. He also struck out seven batters while surrendering six total hits.
Kyle Maurice, Saint Anselm (Sr., 1B - Exeter, N.H.)
Maurice drove in eight runs through three games of a weekend series against Dominican. The senior launched two home runs while going five-for-12 at the plate. Maurice registered one double while drawing three walks. Maurice recorded a slash line of .417/.533/1.000. In the field, Maurice had a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage in nine chances.
John Luke Cianciolo, Saint Michael's (Sr., UTL - Guilford, Conn.)
Cianciolo batted 3-for-4 with a run and an RBI before registering a five-out save during a 10-5 win over Thiel on Sunday. Making just his second college pitching appearance, the righty fired 1.2 shutout innings of one-hit ball with no walks and three strikeouts.
Ricky Jimenez, Southern N.H. (Sr., IF - Miami, Fla.)
Jimenez went 4-for-7 with a homer, two doubles, and six RBI in No. 14 SNHU's sweep of Nyack on Friday.
Angus McCloskey, Southern N.H. (Sr., P - Farmingdale, N.Y.)
McCloskey allowed one hit over six scoreless innings in SNHU's 20-0 win over Nyack in the first game of a doubleheader on Friday. McCloskey struck out 13 while walking only two batters.
