NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Jacob Pedersen, Adelphi (Fr., P - Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.)
Earned his first collegiate victory in a 3-2 upset of No. 11 SNHU on Sunday (Mar. 20). Pedersen came on in the fifth and was forced to get out of a one-out bases-loaded jam and then proceeded to induce two fielder's choice groundouts that kept SNHU off the scoreboard. He retired nine consecutive batters between the fifth and ninth innings and was brilliant across 4.1 innings.

Jackson Walonis, Bentley (So., 2B - Walpole, Mass.)
During a 3-2 week, Walonis hit .533 with eight hits, seven RBI and five runs scored in 15 at bats. His on-base percentage was a sparkling .636, with his eight hits complemented by six walks, and he handled 24 of 25 chances at second. Walonis was 4-for-4 with two RBI against Felician, had two hits against Post and recorded three RBI in a 17-2 win over Southern Connecticut.

Hunter Wilichoski, Franklin Pierce (So., RHP/DH - Hamilton, Mass.)
Hit .833/.875/2.333 for a 3.208 OPS over six at-bats (5-for-6), with three doubles and two home runs, as the Ravens swept a doubleheader from AIC at home on Sunday. Scored four runs, drove in two and drew two walks along the way. In the first game, went 3-for-3 with a double, two dingers and a walk. Followed up with 2-for-3 with two doubles and a walk in the nightcap.

Drew Silverman, New Haven (Jr, P - Commack, N.Y.)
Silverman extended his league leading saves total with his fourth and fifth of the year, earning one each against Bridgeport and Caldwell as the Chargers went 3-1 overall on the week. Silverman threw a total of 4.1 innings, allowing three hits and stranding all runners on base. He also registered five strikeouts, including four in the road win over Caldwell, which was also his longest outing of the season thus far, going 2.1 innings for his fifth save.

Patrick Gleason, Pace (Jr., P - Valhalla, N.Y.)
Gleason tallied a pair of strong efforts on the mound for Pace last week. He began the stretch by recording a four-inning save in the Setters' 3-2 win over No. 19 East Stroudsburg. Gleason followed up with seven innings pitched against Goldey-Beacom in which he allowed three earned runs and struck out seven.

Andrew Lanthier, Saint Michael's (So., OF - Orwell, Vt.)
Lanthier batted .429 with a .476 slugging percentage and .600 on-base percentage in six games out of the leadoff spot last week. He was 9-for-21 with six runs, one double, eight walks, one hit-by-pitch and two stolen bases while striking out only once in 30 plate appearances. Against 2021 NCAA qualifier Merchant Marine on Monday, Lanthier hit 2-for-5 with a run and a walk before going 1-for-2 with a run, a walk and a hit-by-pitch versus Bethel the next day. On Wednesday, he finished 1-for-3 with two runs and two walks against Wisconsin-Stout before going 3-for-5 with two runs, a walk and a stolen base against Lasell later in the day. Lanthier hit 2-for-5 versus Bethel on Thursday before going hitless in one at bat on Friday but walking three times and swiping a base against Wisconsin Lutheran.

Restmeyer fanned six and issued only one walk over the 7.0 inning distance in Sunday's 7-2 win at Stonehill.

Tommy Hughes, Southern Conn. St. (R-So., RHP - Newington, Conn.)
Hughes continues to dominate out of the pen for Southern, this week posting a 0.00 ERA with a 10.80 k/9 innings rate in 8 1/3 innings over three appearances. Hughes logged three strikeouts against one hit over two innings against STAC, and then followed with a four-inning save in a 16-6 win against Post. Hughes struck out four in four innings while again surrendering one hit. He made his final appearance in a 17-2 loss to Bentley in which he silenced the Falcons' offense scoreless over 2 1/3 while allowing one hit and striking out three. For the year, Hughes is 1-0 with a 0.46 ERA and three saves while allowing one run on four hits over 19 2/3 while striking out 29 batters.

He wrapped up the week with a 3-for-5 day against Post in which he drove in two runs, scored two more and stole a base in a 16-6 win. In a loss to Bentley, Sullivan missed the cycle by a home run in a 4-for-4 day in which he also scored a run and stole a base. Against Post in the final game of the Owls' spring trip, stroked a triple in the 10th inning drive in the go-ahead and winning run in a 6-5 victory against Post.
