NE10 Men's Track Athlete of the Week

Jalen Smith-Phillips, Assumption
Sophomore | Jersey City, N.J.

Smith-Phillips had a pair of wins at the William Sutherland Invitational on Friday. He took the top spot in both the 55m (6.62) and the 200m (23.03).


NE10 Men's Field Athlete of the Week

Dylan Torok, Southern Connecticut State
Junior | Monroe, Conn.

At the William Sutherland III Invitational, Dylan Torok won the Pole Vault event with a height of 4.15m, defeating the next best competitor, from NCAA Division I Sacred Heart, at 2.95m, or just over four feet. He then finished second in the High Jump at 1.90.


NE10 Men's Track Rookie of the Week

Jack Coyne, Adelphi
Freshman | Lynbrook, N.Y.

Coyne's PR in the 800 this weekend at the NYC Gotham Cup ranks him fourth among NE10 competition, posting his first sub-2:00 time in the event. He clocked in at 1:59.13 which is the second fastest time from a rookie this season in the NE10 and placed him 12th overall.


NE10 Men's Field Rookie of the Week

Mattew Steele, New Haven
Freshman l North Kingstown, R.I.

In his first collegiate meet as a member of the Chargers track and field team, Steele impressed with a pair of top-three finishes in the long jump and triple jump, including taking home title honors in the triple jump at the William Sutherland Invitational. In the TJ, he posted a leap of 13.78 meters (45'2.5") to take the title in a field of 10 jumpers. In the long jump, he notched a distance of 6.38 meters (20'11.25") to finish third overall in the field.


NE10 Men's Relay of the Week

4x400 Relay, New Haven
Nathaniel Peters, Christopher Gregory, Dante White, Jordany Dely The Chargers 4x400 meter relay team combined to finish in a time of 3:24.93 outpacing a field of 22 teams to take home first place honors at the Ramapo Invitational at the Armory in NY City.


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Diego Llanos, Adelphi, (Sr., Fresh Meadows, N.Y.)
Llanos was the top Division II competitor to finish at the NYC Gotham Cup over the weekend, clocking in at 2:33:30 to place 10th overall.

Andre Francis, Adelphi (Jr., S. Ozone Park, N.Y.)
Francis was the tenth-place finisher in the shotput with a distance of 12.15m while also putting up a fourth-place performance in the weight throw with a launch of 15.73m.

Jordany Dely, New Haven (Sr., Spring Valley, N.Y.)
Dely took home a pair of medal honors for the Chargers, individually in the 60-meter hurdles and combined as the anchor of the Chargers 4x400 meter relay. In the hurdles, Dely led the field after the preliminaries and maintained that lead in the finals, outpacing the field to finish with a time of 8.31. He also competed individually in the 400-meter run, but saw his most success at that distance come as a member of the 4x400 relay where he and his teammates posted a time of 3:24.93 to take first place among a field of 22 teams.

Neil Harrington, Saint Anselm (So., Malden, Mass.)
On Saturday at the Panther Invitational I, Harrington secured a second-place finish in the mile run with a time of 4:33.58 for the Hawks. His performance in the mile marked a new team-best time this season as well as a personal best for the Malden native.

Anthony Pasquarosa, Saint Anselm (Jr., Beverly, Mass.)
Pasquarosa competed in the pole vault event on Saturday at the Panther Invitational I and earned a third-place finish with a mark of 2.90 meters. He also ran in the 400-meter clocking in at 56.06, setting a new personal best time, and claiming an 11th-place finish.

Osaretin Osagie, Southern Connecticut State (Jr. Norwich, Conn.)
At the William Sutherland III Invitational, Osagie won the 55 Meter Hurdles with a time of 7.67, which stands as the fourth-best time in the country.
