Harris Takes Third, Named First Team All-American

Pittsburg, Kan. - Franklin Pierce's Stephen Harris took third place in the 200m finals at the DII NCAA Championship Saturday, earning All-America First Team honors.  The senior ran a 21.17 in the race, 0.08 seconds behind Minnesota State's Jabez Reeves, who took gold.  Harris flew past UC-Colorado Springs' Kymani Sterling to secure the final podium spot by 0.15 seconds.

Harris, the NE10 Men's Track Athlete of the Year, was one of six Northeast-10 individuals and one relay that competed in Pittsburg.  NE10 dual-champion Southern Connecticut State saw Jonathan Volpe and Cameron Belton compete in the mile and shot put.  The NE10 Men's Field Athlete of the Year, Belton threw the shot put 19.63m, good for 14th, while Volpe finished in 15th in 4:15.07.  Kisha Francois captured 18th in the women's long jump at 5.33m.

Adelphi twin sisters Katherine and Isabel Marsh both ran the 800m with Katherine, the NE10 Women's Track Athlete of the Year, earning Second Team All-America by placing 9th.  Isabel came in 14th.  Katherine just missed racing in the final by 0.36 seconds.  

The Panthers' DMR of the Marsh sisters, Carly Koprowski (the NE10 Track Rookie of the Year) and Sumaira Mayan finished in 12th.
