NCAA Championship Information

MANSFIELD, Mass., - Six Northeast-10 indoor track and field student-athletes, along with the Adelphi women's DMR Relay, have been selected to compete for national titles at the NCAA DII Indoor Track & Field Championship March 8th and 9th in Pittsburg, Kan.  The league's crop is headlined by NE10 Championship Co-MVP Stephen Harris from Franklin Pierce, qualifying to run in the 200m with the nation's top mark this season.

Harris will be racing against his nearest competitor at the meet, Pittsburg State's Dakari Charlton, on his home turf.  Charlton has run the 200m in 21.04 this winter, a fraction of a second behind Harris' record 21.0 from the NE10 Championship.

February's NE10 Championship was kind to a handful of conference student-athletes, with Southern Connecticut State's Cameron Belton setting a qualifying mark at the event.  Several competitors also made, or improved upon, qualifying marks in 'last chance' meets this past weekend, among them was SCSU's Kisha Francois.  The 2x NE10 long jump champion jumped 5.96 meters this past weekend, best in the conference this year.

Not to be left out, Adelphi is led by graduate student twin sisters Katherine and Isabel Marsh.  Katherine was the NE10 Championship's MVP while her sister set the NE10 Championship record in the 800m prelims.  The Panthers also have their DMR relay unit traveling to Kansas.

Southern Connecticut State, winner at both the NE10 men's and women's league championship, has three individual student-athletes trekking to Kansas, spearheaded by Belton and Francois but also Jonathan Volpe, SCSU's school record-holder, in the mile.

The NCAA Championship will be held over two days and be hosted by Pittsburg State University.  Competition will be live streamed and tickets are available here.
