NE10 Women's Track Athlete of the Week

Caitlin Burmester, Bentley
Junior | Willow Grove, Penn.

Competing in a field of largely D-I runners at the UC San Diego Invitational, Burmester was second to cross the finish line in the women's 1,500-m run, timing in at 4:39.38. She beat D-I runners from programs such as UC San Diego, San Diego State, and Pepperdine. Burmester also placed 12th in the 800-m by finishing in 2:18.37.


NE10 Women's Field Athlete of the Week

Kristen Washington, New Haven
Graduate l New Haven, Conn.

In her lone event of the weekend, Washington took home first place honors in the long jump with a new personal best distance of 5.92 meters (19' 5.25").


NE10 Women's Field Rookie of the Week

Celine Bozukluian, Southern Connecticut State
Freshman l Trumbull, Conn.

At the Wilton Wright Invitational, Bozukluian won the Hammer Throw event with a distance of 46.23m to lead four Owls in the top 10, out of 25 competitors.


NE10 Women's Field Track of the Week

Jada Kamtha, New Haven
Freshman l St. Catherine, Jamaica

Two of Kamtha's three events at this weekend's Wilton Wright Invitational came on the track as she took second place honors in both the 100-meter dash and the 100-meter hurdles. In the sprint event, she finished with a time of 12.44. She followed that up with a time of 14.67 to finish as the runner-up in the 100-meter hurdles. She also competed in the long jump, finishing fourth in that event


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Amari Johnson, Adelphi (Jr., Mooresville, N.C.)
Johnson took first this weekend at the Wilton Wright Invitational in the 100 hurdles, clocking in at 14.55. Her time is #2 in the East Region, but she defeated the current #1 time from Jada Kamtha.

Lindsey Wilson, Adelphi (Fr., Peabody, Mass.)
The reigning Northeast-10 Indoor Field Rookie of the Year, Wilson set a new program mark in the triple jump - landing an attempt at 10.82m, just .02 longer than the previous Adelphi record. She placed fourth overall at the Wilton Wright Invitational and has the 10th best leap in the East Region thus far.

Jada McCown, Assumption (Fr., Guilford, Conn.)
McCown won the Women's 400m at the Southern Connecticut Wilton Wright Invitational with a time of 1:00.56.

Savannah Sistrunk, New Haven (Sr., Georgetown, Del.)
With a pair of personal bests, Sistrunk was the fastest female on the track at this weekend's Wilton Wright Invitational taking home first place honors in both the 100m and 200-meter events. In the short spring, she hit a time of 12.42 to lead the field. She followed that up with a new personal best in the 200 with a time of 25.59 to take medal honors for the second time.

Julia Mansfield, Southern Connecticut State (Gr., Wallingford, Conn.)
Mansfield won the 800 Meter Run at the Wilton Wright Invitational with a time of 2:28.29. She was also on the 4x400 Relay that took first place with a time of 4:06.43.
