NE10 Men's Track Athlete of the Week

Osaretin Osage, Southern Connecticut
Sophomore | Norwich, Conn.

At the Bobcat Invitational hosted by Texas State University, Osagie finished 9th in the 400 Meter Hurdles with a time of 53.76, which is good for 18th nationally and the top NE10 time this season. He then posted a 23rd-place finish, out of 61 runners, in the 110 Meter Hurdles with at a time of 14.56. He closed the weekend with an 11th place finish in the 4x100 Meter Relay with a time of 41.40 .


NE10 Men's Field Athlete of the Week

Jordan Davis, Southern Connecticut
Junior | Wallingford, Conn.

Davis, the 2022 NCAA Division II Javelin National Champions, had an all-time historic performance at The Texas Relays. First, he hit a mark of 80.36m to break the NCAA Division II Javelin Record. On his last throw, he beat his own previous mark with a 83.77m to win the event. The throw not only broke his own record from moments earlier, but it was also the top throw in the United States this year, the 4th-best in the world and the fifth-longest Javelin Throw in the history of NCAA Track & Field in all divisions.


NE10 Men's Track Rookie of the Week

Christopher Rodriguez, New Haven
Freshman l Brockton, Mass.

Three personal bests of the last two weeks on the track highlight the way for Gregory. At last week's Wesleyan Swanson Invitational with was a second place finish in the 200-meter dash that led the way as he posted a time of 23.08 to finish as the runner up. This past weekend at the Ramapo Invitational he opened up his day with a personal best in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.32 and then seta new personal best in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:01.69.


NE10 Men's Field Rookie of the Week

Tyler Delgado, Assumption
Graduate Rookie l Westfield, Mass. 

In his first collegiate meet, Delgado hit the NCAA provisional mark with his toss of 59.97 at the Bryant Black & Gold Invitational. His distance was four feet shy of the program record, which was set back in 1972.


NE10 Men's Relay of the Week

4x400, Southern Connecticut State
At Texas State University's Bobcat Invitational, the Owls' 4x400 Relay team of Ramsley Exantus, Nolan Freeman, Max Musial and Sam Sandler finished fifth with a time of 3:15.49.The team also rank at the 96th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, posting a time of 3:16.17.


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Andre Francis, Adelphi (Jr., South Ozone Park, N.Y.)
Francis landed a toss of 47.62 meters at the Fred Hardy Invitational, which is a new career-best in the specialty and the second best distance in the East Region after opening weekend. He also placed sixth in the discus (41.53m) and eighth in the shotput (13.09m). This weekend he placed 11th in the hammer with a launch of 46.10 meters at the Monmouth Opener.

John Perez, Adelphi (Gr., Queens, N.Y.)
Perez has the top time in the NE10 for the 200 (22.34) after placing 8th overall at the Monmouth Opener.

Richard Fortune, New Haven (Fr.)
Fortune posted a pair of top-three finishes over the last two weekends. At a rainy Swanson Invitational he finished third in the shot put with a distance of 12.81 meters (42'0.5). He followed that up with a new personal best in the discus throw at the Ramapo Invitational this past weekend hitting a distance of 45.18 meters (148'3").

Jacky Marescot, New Haven (Gr., Spring Valley, N.Y.)
In his first meet back since spring break, Marescot posted a second place finish in the long jump at this past weekend's Ramapo Invitational with a leap of 6.95 meters (22'9.75").

Jeremy Rivera, Southern Connectiut State (Fr., Colchester, Conn.)
At the NCAA Division I UConn Dogfight, Jeremy Rivera finished ninth to lead the Owls in the 1500 Meters with a time of 4:04.51. He then ran in the 800 Meters where he finished in fourth place at 1:58.28.
