NE10 Women's Track Athlete of the Week

Katherine Marsh, Adelphi
Graduate | East Meadow, N.Y.

Marsh successfully lowered her best time in the 800 this weekend at the John Thomas Terrier Classic at Boston University, and now is the top time in the specialty in all of Division II at 2:09.65. She was the top Division II finisher in a field of nearly all Division I competition and placed fifth in her heat and 22nd overall.


NE10 Women's Field Athlete of the Week

Lizzy Jones, Franklin Pierce
Sophomore | Saint Johnsbury, Vt.

Jones grabbed first place in the pole vault at the USM Husky Invitational on Saturday with a new FPU record of 3.30m (10' 10") and currently leads the conference by 35cm.


NE10 Women's Track Rookie of the Week

Jada Kamtha, New Haven
Freshman | Saint Catherine, Jamaica

In her third meet since coming to the states and joining the New Haven track and field program, Kamtha took home medal honors as she out leaped the field in the long jump with a season-best distance of 5.14m (16'10.5"). In addition, she also ran the 60-meter hurdles finishing third overall in that event.


NE10 Women's Field Rookie of the Week

Carly Koprowski, Adelphi
Freshman | Wantagh, N.Y.

A two-sport athlete for Adelphi, this is Koprowski's second win for NE10 Field Rookie of the Week.  The freshman ran the 800m this weekend in 2:19.57, the fourth best time in the NE10 this season and the fastest by a freshman.  This comes a week after running the league's top 800 by a rookie at the time.


NE10 Women's Relay of the Week

4x400 Southern Connecticut State

At the John Thomas Terrier Classic, the Owls' 4x400 Relay team of Hannah Caiola, Ella Maclean, Kisha Francois and Avery Winters finished 8th out of 31 teams with a season-best time of 3:47.68, which also stands as the 7th best time in NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field this season.


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Gabrielle Teel, New Haven (So., Willow Grove, Penn.)
In her only event of the weekend, Teel was impressive as she out leaped the field in the triple jump to take first place accolades with a new personal best distance of 11.65m (38'2.75").

Rebecca Cady, Saint Anselm (So., Lowell, Mass.)
Cady earned a 30th-place finish in the 200-meter dash at the John Thomas Terrier Classic with a time of 25.62 for Saint Anselm. She also competed in the 40-meter dash clocking in at 58.53 for a 38th-place finish out of 112 competitors. Cady earned new personal bests in both the 200-meter and 400-meter events with her marks over the weekend.

Kisha Francois, Southern Connecticut State (Jr., East Haven, Conn.)
At the UMass Lowell Riverhawk Invitational, Kisha Francois placed sixth out of 72 participants in the Long Jump, most of whom were from NCAA Division I schools, with a distance of 5.70m. Francois also finished 23rd out of 142 in the 200 Meter Dash with a time of 25.60 and was also part of the 4x400 Relay team at the John Thomas Terrier Classic that posted a season-best time of 3:47.68, which stands as the seventh best in the country to date.

Hannah Caiola, Southern Connecticut State (So. Glastonbury, Conn.)
Caiola posted a time of 55.61 in the 400 Meters to finish third out of 53 runners. Caiola's time in the 400 was a PR and also ranks as the 8th best time in the event in the country to date. Caiola was also part of the Owls' 4x400 Relay at the John Thomas Terrier Classic that posted a time of 3:47.58 which was a season-best for the Owls and ranks seventh, nationally.

Ella Maclean, Southern Connecticut State (Jr., Hanover, N.H.)
Maclean had three top-10 finishes at the UMass Lowell Riverhawk Invitational and the John Thomas Terrier Classic. On Friday, Jan. 26 at the Riverhawk Invitational, Maclean finished 10th out of 108 in the 200 Meters with a time of 24.97 and then posted a time of 7.75 in the 60 Meters qualifying race. She was also part of the Owls' 4x400 Relay team at the John Thomas Terrier Classic that posted a time of 3:47.67 and finished 8th out of 31 teams. The Owls time in the race was also the seventh best in the country, to date.

Laila Bunnitt, SNHU (Sr. Lewiston, Maine)
Bunnitt turned in a third-place finish at Saturday's Husky Invitational in the weight throw at 13.98m.

Hope Sinclair, SNHU (So., Hampton, N.H.)
Sinclair won the 55m in a new PR of 7.54 at Saturday's Husky Invitational at Southern Maine. That was just a tenth of a second off the program record. She also added a team point with a fifth-place finish in the 200m (27.64)
