Bentley and Saint Michael's Lead the Way After Securing 99% ASR.
MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Northeast-10 Conference led all of Division II with seven of its institutions earning the NCAA Presidents' Award for Academic Excellence, which recognizes the schools that achieved an Academic Success Rate (ASR) of 90% or higher.
Bentley and Saint Michael's were the top performers in ASR among all Division II institutions for the second-straight year, recording an impressive 99% ASR on their way to receiving the Presidents' Award. Le Moyne was close behind with 95%, while Adelphi (92%), Saint Anselm (92%), Assumption (91%) and Southern New Hampshire (91%) also earned the honor.
"I am excited to honor and recognize the 44 schools for this prestigious award," said Steven Shirley, president of Minot State and chair of the Division II Presidents Council. "It is a testament to their hard work, commitment and dedication to achieving academic excellence."
As a conference, the NE10 had a nation-best 89% ASR in 2022 – leading all of Division II and matching the Division-best mark that it set in 2020 and 2021. The NE10 has finished first or tied for first among Division II conferences in each of the past six years when it comes to ASR.
The Division II ASR includes transfers into a school in the calculation and removes transfers out who left school while academically eligible. The ASR also includes the more than 30,000 non-scholarship student-athletes who were enrolled in the four years covered in the most recent data.
In the 12 years that the Presidents' Award for Academic Excellence has been in existence, three NE10 schools – Assumption, Bentley and Saint Michael's – have earned the honor every year.
