Adelphi and Bentley Tied with League-Best Six Programs Recognized.
MANSFIELD, Mass. – Adelphi and Bentley highlighted the Northeast-10 Conference's release of its Team Academic Excellence Award winners for the 2022-23 season, recognizing the programs with the highest team GPA in each of the league's 24 sponsored sports. The announcement was made by the league office on Tuesday morning.
Over 80-percent of the Conference's 257 teams achieved a team GPA of 3.0 or higher, while over 45-percent tallied a GPA of 3.3 or better. In total, 22 award plaques are distributed, with indoor and outdoor track & field combined due to the same roster of student-athletes competing in both seasons.

Overall, 206 of 257 NE10 programs (80.16%) had at least a 3.0 GPA, while 117 teams hit the 3.3 mark. There were 40 programs that achieved a 3.5 GPA or higher.
Three different NE10 instituions had multiple teams honored, as Adelphi and Bentley tied for a league-high six selections and Pace had five - finishing third among league institutions. Franklin Pierce, Post, Saint Michael's, Saint Rose and Southern New Hampshire each had one program earn a Team Academic Excellence Award.
Among the honorees were two NE10 champions, as Pace baseball and Adelphi softball were both recognized. Adelphi men's tennis had the single-highest GPA of all NE10 teams with a 3.869.
The NE10's full membership GPA was 3.167. When combined with four associate members in the sports of field hockey and ice hockey, the GPA increased to 3.171.
