NE10 Men's Swimmer of the Week

Chandler Tucker, Southern Connecticut 
Senior | Bellmore, N.Y.

Chandler Tucker won the 200 Yard Freestyle, 50 Yard Freestyle and the 200 Yard Backstroke and was also part of the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team that finished second in a meet at WPI. Tucker grabbed first place in the 200 Yard Freestyle event with a time of 1:44.10. Tucker won his second race of the afternoon with a win in the 50 Yard Freestyle with a time of 21.80. It was Tucker again in the 200 Yard Backstroke leading the Owls with a time of 2:00.47.


NE10 Women's Swimmer of the Week

Colleen Quaglia, Saint Rose
Graduate Student | East Greenbush, N.Y.

On Saturday against Pace, Quaglia swam the top time for any Northeast-10 Conference competitor with a 4:40.45 clocking in the 400-yard individual medley and a 59.55 in the 100 backstroke. She took the victory in both events to help the Golden Knights earn the dual-meet victory.


NE10 Men's Diver of the Week

Patrick Dwyer, Pace
Senior | Tomkins Cove, N.Y.

A school-record and NCAA-qualifying mark from senior Patrick Dwyer highlighted the Setters' win over Saint Rose on Saturday. Dwyer posted a high score of 303.00 in the three-meter dive, a mark that not only surpassed his own program record, but also easily eclipses the NCAA threshold of 295.0.


NE10 Women's Diver of the Week

Mary Huminski, Bentley
Junior | Madison, Conn.

During a dual meet with Brandeis, Huminski totaled 466.10 points in the two one-meter diving events. The 2019 NE10 Women's Diver of the Year won the six-dive optionals with a 283.85 by 3.75 points over teammate Hilla Almog and edged Almog by 1.55 points, 182.25-180.70, in the five-dive voluntaries.


NE10 Men's Swimming & Diving Rookie of the Week

Bobby Hahn, Southern Connecticut
Freshman | Randolph, N.J.

Against WPI, Bobby Hahn won the 100 Yard Breaststroke (1:01.81), the 200 Yard Breaststroke (2:14.05) and the 400 Yard Individual Medley (4:24.38).


NE10 Women's Swimming & Diving Rookie of the Week

Lindsay McCawley, Southern Connecticut
Freshman | Horseheads, N.Y.

Lindsay McCawley led the Owls in a win against WPI, winning three events, including the 200 Yard Butterfly with a time of 2:15.18; the 200 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 2:33.46; and the 400 Yard Individual Medley with a time of 4:46.65.


NE10 Men's Relay of the Week

200 Yard Medley Relay, Bentley

Seniors Oscar Chang (Dix Hills, N.Y.), Zach Papsco (Northport, N.Y.) and Mark Zoda (Nashua, N.H.) combined with junior Anthony Vizental (Concord, Calif.) for a winning time of 1:36.47 against Brandeis. That was only 0.82 seconds off the NE10 best achieved by the Falcons last month.


NE10 Women's Relay of the Week

200 Yard Freestyle Relay, Bentley

Senior Lucy Slowe (Millis, Mass.), sophomore Emma Hapkiewicz (South Windsor, Conn.) and juniors Michelle Adamo (Hackettstown, N.J.) and Kate Galvin (Suffern, N.Y.) captured the 200 freestyle relay at Brandeis in 1:42.16. That was only 0.67 seconds off the NE10 season-best time achieved by Bentley last month.


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Jeremy Glick, Bentley (Sr. - South Windsor, Conn.)
Glick captured first in both one-meter diving competitions at Brandeis, with scores of 163.20 for five dives and 238.10 for six.

Dariana Gonzales, Bentley (Jr. - Stamford, Conn.)
Gonzales captured three individual races during Bentley's win at Brandeis with times of 1:01.16 in the 100 yard backstroke, 2:12.55 in the 200 back and 2:17.64 in the 200 butterfly. She also was part of a 200 medley relay team that was second in 1:52.90.

Mark Zoda, Bentley (Sr. - Nashua, N.H.)
Zoda helped Bentley improve to 4-0 by winning three freestyle events and anchoring a winning relay in a 162-132 victory at Brandeis. He had Northeast-10 season-best times in the 100 (47.28) and 200 (1:44.62) and turned in a 21.57 in the 50. In the 200 medley relay, he helped Bentley prevail in 1:36.47.

Caitlyn Longway, Le Moyne (Sr. - Sauquoit, N.Y.)
She recorded a pair of victories in Le Moyne's loss at Ithaca on Friday night. She registered a time of 24.56 seconds, the best in the Northeast-10 Conference this year, to win the 50-yard freestyle by 0.39 seconds. She later won the 100-yard freestyle by 0.30 seconds with a time of 54.23 seconds, the best in the NE10 this year.

Amy Calandro, Pace (Sr. - Eastchester, N.Y.)
Calandro swept the diving events during the Setters' narrow defeat at the College of Saint Rose on Saturday. The senior earned both top marks, scoring 169.55 in the one-meter and 202.25 in the three-meter.

Samuel Gibson, Pace (Sr. - Nassau, Bahamas)
Gibson picked up a trio of wins during the Setters' team victory over Saint Rose last week. He clocked low individual marks in the the 200-free (1:50.90) and 400-IM (4:31.68), while also swimming a leg in a triumphant 400-medley relay (3:46.20).

Bella Amedio, Saint Michael's (Jr. - Schenectady, N.Y.)
Junior Bella Amedio (Schenectady, N.Y.) won twice while falling just short of a third win in the Purple Knights' dual meet with Clarkson on Saturday. She won the 200 breaststroke (2:43.56) by 0.16 seconds and helped the 200 medley relay (1:56.86) capture another victory by 0.45 seconds. During the 100 breaststroke, Amedio clocked in at 1:11:49, just 0.02 seconds shy of the winner. She also scored points by placing fifth in the 200 IM (2:35.34).

Sean McGurn, Saint Michael's (Sr. - Braintree, Mass.)
Senior Sean McGurn (Braintree, Mass.) won twice while nearly earning a third victory during a dual meet with Clarkson on Saturday. He won the 100 breaststroke (1:04.49) by 0.23 seconds while helping the 200 medley relay (1:42.17) win by 0.24 seconds, clocking in with the fastest breaststroke leg (28.72) among the five relay entries. McGurn was part of the runner-up 200 freestyle relay (1:33.99), which lost by only 0.36 seconds, and took third in the 200 breaststroke (2:24.00), coming within 0.05 seconds of second place.

Andrew Buehler, Southern Connecticut (So. - Wallingford, Conn.)
Andrew Buehler (Wallingford, Conn.) swept the diving competition with wins in the 1 Meter and 3 Meter Diving events against WPI, posting a score of 275.77 in the 1 Meter and 270.60 in the 3 Meter.

Nicholle Denault, Southern Connecticut (So. - West Hartford, Conn.)
Nicholle Denault swept the diving competition with wins in the 1 Meter (212.47) and 3 Meter (169.65) Diving events.
