NE10 Men's Track Athlete of the Week
Ezra Mutai, American International

Mutai won the 10K at the Yellow Jacket Invitational with an NCAA PQ time of 29:42.43, currently the 8th-best time in DII and best in the NE10 so far.
NE10 Men's Field Athlete of the Week
Angelo Fradelakis, Adelphi University
Graduate Student | Throws | Mount Sinai, N.Y.
Evangelos Fradelakis opened his season with a 61.50m hammer throw, which currently sits sixth overall in the NCAA Division II rankings and smashes his previously set school record. The last time he competed in the event was at the 2019 IC4A/ECAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, where he posted a distance of 58.38m. He followed up later in the day with a second place showing in the discus, but also a career-best distance of 48.14m.

NE10 Men's Field Rookie of the Week
Cameron Belton, Southern Conn.
Sophomore | Throws | Baltic, Conn.
At the Wilton Wright Tri-Meet, Belton finished in second place in the shot put with a personal-best throw of 16.05 meters. Belton earned eight points in the event, helping Southern win the meet over second place finisher UConn by four points.
NE10 Men's Relay of the Week
Southern Conn. - 4x100 Relay
At the Wilton Wright Tri-Meet the Owl's 4x100 relay took first place with its time of 42.34, which is the best time in the conference by over .40 seconds. Jaylynn Ellerbe-Cundiff led off the relay, followed by Milan Spisek, Naszier Toerrence-Robins and Nigel Green.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Desmond Nartey, Adelphi University (Gr. - Cape Coast, Ghana)
Desmond Nartey was responsible for a second place showing in the 200m event at the 10th Yellow Jacket Invitational. His time of 22.40 fell short of his 22.20 career-best time, however he is leading the Northeast-10 Conference in the event after this weekend of competition.
Armani Mette, Franklin Pierce (So. - Randolph, Mass.)
Mette won the shot put (13.94m) and placed fourth in the discus (41.92m) on Saturday at the Yellow Jacket Invitational. The discus mark represented a new program record.
Kevin Leach Brown, New Haven (Sr. - Bronx, N.Y.)
In the opening meet for the New Haven Track & Field Team, Leach Brown posted one of two medalist honors on the day, with his coming in the 600-meter dash where he beat out his seed time by more than three seconds to finish with a time of 1:22.69, which had the event been held indoors would have broken the school record. Leach Brown was also a member of the third place 4x400-meter relay team as he took on the second leg of the race.
Jacky Marescot, New Haven (Jr. - Spring Valley, N.Y.)
Marescot posted a pair of top-three finishes competing in three different events at the Wilton Wright Invitational this past weekend. The best finish for the junior jumper came in the triple jump where he netted a distance of 13.24 meters on his first attempt to take home first place honors. He then posted a third place finish in the high jump, topping a height of 1.85 meters. Marescot also competed in the long jump where he saw a distance of 6.53 meters.
Nigel Green, Southern Conn. (Sr. - Shirley, N.Y.)
Green finished in first place in all three of his events among Division II opponents at the Wilton Wright Tri-Meet, leading the Owls to a victory. In the 100-meter dash, Green recorded a time of 10.74. He and his 4x100-meter relay team finished with a time of 42.34, and his 4x400-meter relay team finished with a time of 3:27.04.
Turner Kelly, Southern Connecticut State University (Gr. - Amityville, N.Y)
At the Wilton Wright Tri-Meet, Kelly recorded a throw of 17.80 meters in the shot put, the second longest throw in program history. Kelly also finished in second place in the discus throw with a throw of 45.10 meters. Kelly's performance helped Southern finish in first place in the meet, beating out UConn by four total points.
