Stonehill Has Eight Student-Athletes Named Academic All-District


MANSFIELD, Mass. – The NE10 had 19 male and female student-athletes from cross country and Track & Field earn CoSIDA Academic All-District honors for their performance in the classroom and on the track, as announced by CoSIDA recently. 

The 2020-21 Academic All-District Teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. First Team Academic All-District honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot which will be announced in August. The Academic All-District Teams are divided into geographic eight districts across the United States and Canada. 

On the men's side, the NE10 captured eight of the ten All-District First Team selections, highlighted by four Stonehill student-athletes and two from Franklin Pierce. NE10 women took 11 of the 14 spots on the All-District First Team, including four from Stonehill College. Adelphi, Franklin Pierce and New Haven each had a pair of honorees.

The NE10 is an association of 14 diverse institutions serving student-athletes across 24 NCAA Division II sports. Together we build brilliant futures by embracing the journey of every student-athlete.

Each year, 4,500 of those student-athletes compete in conference championships in 24 sports, making the NE10 the largest DII conference in the country in terms of sport sponsorship.
