2024 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship Field Announced


INDIANAPOLIS - The NCAA rolled out the rosters for the 2024 DII Outdoor Track & Field Championship Tuesday night, including 10 student-athletes from the NE10 among the 754 selected from accross the country.  The NCAA DII Outdoor Track and Field Championship will take place May 24th and 25th at Emporia State University's Welch Stadium in Emporia, Kan.

A maximum of 24 individuals, 18 relays and 16 combined selections were made for each event.  The NE10 will be most represented with four selections in the javelin, including NCAA DII national champion Jordan Davis from Southern Connecitcut State.  Davis will be joined by teammate, senior Nevan Burke and a pair of newcomers from Assumption.  The Greyhounds will send freshman walk-on Malina Bohlmann for the women and football player Tyler Delgado for the men, who as a senior this year threw the javelin for the first time competitively since high school.  Bohlmann won the NE10 championship this spring while Delgao finished runner up to Davis.

Southern Connecticut leads the way in team selections with six.  Beyond the javelin the Owls count two competitors in the men's shot put with NE10 champions Cameron Belton and Bernardo Mbaya.  The pair finished 1-2 respectively in the shotput with Mbaya winning gold the hammer throw.  Ramsey Exantus will run in the 400m hurdles ahd Hannah Caiola in the 400m dash.

Adelphi is sending two athletes from the same household to Kansas.  The Marsh twins, Katherine and Isabel, will each race for the 800m NCAA title.  Franklin Pierce also had a selection with Stephen Harris being chosen for the 200m dash.  Harris made the All-America First Team during the indoor season after finishing third in the same event.
