NE10 Player of the Week

Aurora Deshaies, New Haven
Junior | Forward | Syracuse, N.Y.

Deshaies helped lead the Chargers to a 2-0 start to the season averaging a double double with 15.5 ppg and 14.0 rpg, while shooting at a 56 percent clip. Deshaies opened the year with eight points and 12 rebounds in a end-to-end win over Bloomfield. She then finished 11-of-18 (61 percent) against Georgian Court to finish with 23 points and added 16 boards, both of those of which are new career-highs. Included in those 23 points against GCU was a tip-in at the buzzer which broke a 74-74 tie and earned the Charger victory.

NE10 Rookie of the Week

Gabby Turco, Saint Anselm
Sophomore | Forward | Wildwood, N.J.

Turco helped Saint Anselm defeat not only the 2021 East Region Champions from Daemen in her collegiate debut, but she also helped the Hawks secure a huge overtime victory over the regional runner-ups the very next game. In her collegiate debut, she scored 19 points with four steals, four assists and two rebounds before scoring 17 against Roberts Wesleyan - in that game, she had three triples and played 43 minutes for the Hawks.

NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Kari Brekke, Bentley (Sr., G - Appleton, Wis.)
In a season-opening win over Carlow, Brekke scored a career-high 24 points while missing only her first shot of the night. She finished nine of 10 overall and six of seven from three-point land. In addition, she gave the Falcons four rebounds and three assists in 23 minutes of action.

Destine Perry, American Int'l (Sr, G - Middletown, Conn.)
The senior had a great week at the Yellow Jackets opened the season 2-0. In those two games she averages 26.0 points per game while also grabbing 2.0 rebounds per game, and two assists per game

Emma Carter, Franklin Pierce (Sr., F - Bristol, Vt.)
Averaged 18.5 points and four rebounds in a 2-0 week for the Ravens. In Saturday's win over Holy Family, scored a career-best 24 points, to go with eight rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks. In Sunday's win over Wilmington (Del.), went for 13 more points, two assists and two steals.

Lauren Schetter, Pace (Graduate Student, F - Beacon, N.Y.)
Schetter led the Setters' offense during their season-opening win at Assumption on Saturday. The graduate forward neared a double-double with a game-high 17 points and nine rebounds.

Peyton Steinman, Saint Anselm (Sr. , G - Pittsfield, Mass.)
Steinman averaged 15.5 points per game for the Hawks as they defeated the reigning East Region Champions and the regional runner-up from 2021. She logged 14 points against Daemen and 17 against Roberts Wesleyan, missing just one of her 16 free throws to help lock down the victories in both games late. She also produced 14 rebounds and seven assists in total.

Adriana Timberlake, Southern N.H. (Jr., G - Braintree, Mass.)
Adriana Timberlake averaged 20.5 points on 51.6 percent (16-31) shooting from the field, including 46.7 percent (7-15) from long distance, and 100 percent (2-2) from the stripe, to go with 4.5 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals per contest, as SNHU opened the season 2-0. Timberlake poured in a career-high 26 (10-17 FG, 4-8 -FG, 2-2 FT) and stuffed the stat sheet with six assists, five rebounds and four steals in an 88-65 win against Bridgeport in Saturday's opener. She led the way again in a 74-45 thumping of UDC on Sunday with 15 points (6-14 FG, 3-7 3-FG), three boards and three assists.
