NE10 Player of the Week

Peyton Steinman, Saint Anselm
Senior | Guard | Pittsfield, Mass.

Averaging 31 points per game across a 2-0 week for Saint Anselm, Steinman poured home 34 points against Felician on Friday before notching 28 at Franklin Pierce in a 75-69 victory in Northeast-10 Conference play. Against Felician, she helped her team overcome an 18-point deficit on the way to victory, the largest comeback in at least 20 years for the Hawks women's basketball team. She also established the program record for career free throws made (382), a mark that stood for 22 years. Additionally, in her last three games, she has scored no fewer than 28 points and has pulled down 9.7 caroms in that span as well. Steinman ranks third in the NE10 in points per game (21.2) and fifth in the conference in free throw proficiency (68-for-78, .872).


NE10 Rookie of the Week

Gabby Turco, Saint Anselm
Sophomore (Freshman Eligibility) | Guard | Wildwood, N.J.

The NE10 leader in points per game by a rookie (16.7), Turco notched 19 points and eight rebounds against Felician on Friday before turning in an 18-point, seven-rebound performance at Franklin Pierce on Sunday. Averaging 3.7 rebounds per game this season, she has not finished with less than 12 points in a contest across her first 10 career games on the Hilltop.


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Emma Carter, Franklin Pierce (Sr., F - Bristol, Vt.)
In Franklin Pierce's only game last week, tallied 18 points and three rebounds in a 75-69 loss at home against Saint Anselm on Sunday.

Lauren Schetter, Pace (Gr., F - Beacon, N.Y.)
Schetter led the Setters to a 3-0 stretch last week. The graduate forward posted averages of 26.7 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game. She scored a new career-high of 29 points in back-to-back wins over Dominican and Saint Thomas Aquinas. Schetter, who is currently leading the NE10 in scoring this season, also became just the eighth player in Pace history to register 100 career blocks. 

Nicole Anderson, Saint Michael's (Sr., G - Kittery Point, Maine)
Anderson averaged 18.5 points on 46.7% (14-for-30) shooting with 6.0 assists and 3.0 rebounds during a 1-1 weekend, shooting 47.1% (8-for-17) from three-point range. In a 64-57 loss on Friday at Caldwell, she had 19 points, three rebounds and three assists while shooting 5-of-11 from deep before totaling 18 points, a career-high nine assists to just one turnover, three rebounds and one steal in an 85-76 victory over regionally-ranked Post on Sunday. Anderson shot 3-of-6 from three against Post while giving her team the final lead on a go-ahead lay-up with 1:45 left. She assisted the next basket before rebounding an ensuing Eagle miss prior to Saint Michael's going ahead by six to clinch the win.

Jessica Fressle, Southern Conn. St. (Gr, F - Levittown, N.Y.)
Fressle was a vital piece in the Owls 2-0 week. She shot 41.4-percent from the field and 92.9-percent (13-14) from the free throw line, and averaged 40 points (20 ppg), 19 rebounds (9.5 rpg), and five steals (2.5 spg). Fressle recorded 20 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, and two steals in the Owls' conference win over Saint Rose. She then posted 17 points, seven rebounds, three steals, and a block in Southern's non-conference win over Caldwell. 

Meg Knollmeyer, Southern New Hampshire (Gr., F - Hampton, N.H.)
Knollmeyer recorded 18.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.0 blocks, 2.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game, while converting 66.7 percent (14-21) of her shots and 80 percent (8-10) of her free throws, during a 2-0 week for the Penmen. Knollmeyer posted 15 points (5-8 FG, 5-5 FT), seven rebounds, two blocks and two steals in a 65-53 triumph over Bentley on Tuesday and then scored a season-high 22 points (9-13 FG, 1-3 3-FG, 3-5 FT) to go with seven rebounds, three assists, four blocks and two steals in Saturday's 89-71 win against Felician.

Emily Bramanti, Stonehill (Sr, G - Chelmsford, Mass.)
Averaged 23.5 points on 47.2-percent (17-for-36) shooting in a 1-1 week for the Skyhawks. Also averaged 7.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists and a blocked shot per game, while converting 8-of-11 (72.7%) free-throws for the week. Opened the week with 21 points on 8-of-15 shooting, seven rebounds, five assists and two blocked shots in Tuesday's 62-53 win over Assumption. Matched her career-high with a game-high 26 points on 9-of-21 shooting, including 4-for-11 from three, with a career-best eight rebounds, seven assists and a steal at Adelphi on Sunday.
