NE10 Player of the Week
Peyton Steinman, Saint Anselm
Senior | Guard | Pittsfield, Mass.
Taking on the reigning NE10 Champions from Stonehill, Steinman scored a career-high 40 points to break into the program's top-10 list for scoring, ranking ninth all-time in team history with 1,354 career points. She went 13-for-22 from the floor and made four treys, racking up a career-high 40 points to trail only Rachel Jackson '85 and her record 43 points against Dartmouth on Nov. 28, 1984. No other Hawks' student-athletes, other than Jackson and Steinman, have broken 40 points. At one point in the game, Steinman scored 29 points in a row for the Hawks in the third and fourth quarters. In the second half alone, Steinman finished with 31 of her team's 39 points as just two other student-athletes had field goals for Saint Anselm.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Amanda Mieczkowski, Assumption
Sophomore (Freshman Eligibility) | Guard | Hadley, Mass.
Mieczkowski averaged 15 points a game in a 1-1 week for the Hounds, scoring 18 against Bentley and 12 in a win over Saint Michael's, while grabbing eight rebounds and three steals over the two-game span.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Autumn Ceppi, Bentley (Gr., F - Bedford, Mass.)
Ceppi led Bentley to a 2-0 week by averaging 16.5 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and one block. In 28 dominating minutes against Franklin Pierce, she had 23 points, 18 rebounds and five assists. The Bucknell transfer shot .591 overall, including 10-of-16 against the Ravens.
Emma Carter, Franklin Pierce (Sr., F - Bristol, Vt.)
In Franklin Pierce's only game last week, went for 24 points, five rebounds, two steals and an assist in a 78-65 loss at Bentley on Saturday.
Erin Fouracre, Le Moyne (Sr, F - Loudonville, N.Y.)
Fouracre tallied a career-high 21 points, dished out a career-best nine assists and posted a career high-tying three steals in a 69-65 victory over Adelphi on Wednesday. She went 5-of-7 from the field, including 2-of-2 from behind the three-point line, and was 9-of-11 at the foul line.
Lauren Schetter, Pace (Gr., F - Beacon, N.Y.)
Schetter registered averages of 22.5 points and 12.0 rebounds per game during the Setters' 1-1 stretch last week. The graduate forward posted one of her best performances of the season on Friday when she racked up 21 points, 16 rebounds and two assists at Bridgeport. She is currently ranked second in the NE10 in scoring (22.3 ppg) and sixth in rebounding (10.2 rpg).
Jessica Fressle, Southern Conn. State (Gr., F - Levittown, N.Y.)
Fressle continued her strong performances in the Southern's victory over New Haven. Fressle shot 53.3-percent from the field (8-15) and 50-percent from three-point range (5-10). She collected 26 points, 14 rebounds, four assists and four steals to help lead the Owls to victory.
Gyanna Russell, Southern N.H. (Gr., G - E. Hampton, Conn.)
Russell poured in a season-high 21 points (7-11 FG, 1-2 3-FG, 6-6 FT) and grabbed four rebounds in SNHU's lone game of the week - a 77-46 victory against Saint Michael's on Wednesday. Russell had 10 points during a 24-6 blitz that flipped a 20-15 deficit into a 39-26 lead and then added seven more during a 24-0 run that widened the gap to 63-26.
