NE10 Player of the Week
Kayla Raymond, Stonehill
Senior | Forward | Easton, Mass.
Led the Skyhawks to a 2-0 week by averaging 25.0 points per game on 50-percent shooting (20-for-40), including 8-for-18 (44.4%) from three-point range. She also contributed 4.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 blocked shots per game for the week. Capped the week by matching her season-high with 26 points, including ten in the fourth quarter alone as she scored the Skyhawks last eight points of the contest, including a game-winning tip-in at the buzzer, in Saturday's 61-59 win over Saint Anselm. She made 12-of-24 shots (50%) from the floor for the afternoon, scoring her 1,000th career point in the process, with three rebounds, three assists, a blocked shot and steal. Raymond totaled a game-high 24 points on 8-of-16 shooting, including 7-for-11 three-pointers (career-best for 3-pt FGs), with six rebounds, three assists and three blocked shots in Thursday's 76-73 overtime win at No. 20 Bentley.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Ines Gimenez Monserrat, Franklin Pierce
Sophomore (Freshman Eligibility) | Forward | Mallorca, Spain
Gimenez Monserrat averaged 15 points, six rebounds and one steal per game in a 1-1 week for the Ravens. On Monday, she had 11 points, four rebounds and one assist in a win at Saint Michael's. On Wednesday, tallied 19 points, eight rebounds and a pair of steals in a loss at SNHU.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Destine Perry, American Int'l (Sr, G - , 11)
Perry had a great week for the Yellow Jackets, as she led them to a 2-0 week. In the pair of games she averaged 21.0 points per game while shooting 50% (13-26) from the floor and 58% (10-17) from deep with five-made threes in each game. Additionally she averaged five rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game.
Ja'Lyn Armstrong, Assumption (Sr., G/F - Baltimore, Md.)
Armstrong helped Assumption register a 1-1 record this past week with a convincing win on the road over Saint Anselm by averaging 19 points, shooting a blistering 72.7 percent from the floor, and also averaging three rebounds. In a 67-47 road win over the Hawks, she registered 17 points by shooting 61.5 percent from the floor to go along with two rebounds, two steals, and one assist before racking up 21 points and shooting 88.9 percent from the floor in a narrow loss to Southern New Hampshire.
Ella Thompson, Bentley (Jr., G - Greenwood, Ind.)
During a 2-1 week, Thompson led the Falcons with 15 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game. She had 17 points and four three-pointers at Adelphi and 19 points, six rebounds and three trifectas in a win at St. Michael's. During the week, she shot .381 overall and was 10-of-24 (.417) from downtown.
Emma Carter, Franklin Pierce (Sr., F - Bristol, Vt.)
Averaged 21.5 points, five rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game in a 1-1 week for the Ravens. On Monday, went for 14 points, three rebounds, four assists and two steals in a win at Saint Michael's. On Wednesday, poured in 29 points, to go with seven rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in a loss at SNHU.
Erin Fouracre, Le Moyne (Sr, F - Loudonville, N.Y.)
Fouracre averaged 13.0 points, 7.0 assists, 5.7 rebounds and 2.0 steals in Le Moyne's 2-1 week, with her best performance coming in a win over New Haven. She scored 19 points and racked up 10 assists in the victory against the Chargers.
Lauren Schetter, Pace (Gr., F - Beacon, N.Y.)
Schetter was once again sensational during a pair of Pace wins last week. The graduate forward began the stretch with her sixth double-double of the season (20 points, 10 rebounds) in the Setters' mid-week triumph over New Haven. She followed that up with a career-high 33 points over the weekend in a victory at Saint Rose. Schetter racked up seven steals and four assists in the two games as well.
Jessica Fressle, Southern Conn. St. (Gr, F - Levittown, N.Y.)
Fressle was a dominating factor for the Owls in a 2-2 week, where she averaged a double-double of 18.0 ppg and 10.3 rpg. Fressle shot 49-percent from the field and 40-percent from the three en route to 72 total points. Her 17-point, 10-rebound performance against Le Moyne helped take down the first team in the Southwest. Her strong showing against Saint Anselm saw her grab her 10th double-double of the season with a career-high in 33 points on 75-percent shooting from the field and 71-percent from three-point range, while adding 10 boards.
Gyanna Russell, Southern N.H. (Gr., G - E. Hampton, Conn.)
On Saturday in the win over Assumption, SNHU's Gyanna Russell became just the 18th player in program history to surpass 1,000 points. Her 12 points, along with 14 and 20 in the wins over Southern Connecticut and Franklin Pierce, helped the Penmen to a 3-0 week. Russell currently ranks 11th in the NE10 with 14.2 points per game.
