Former Merrimack soccer standout Steve McAuliffe was a Northeast-10 First Team All-Conference selection each of his four years at Merrimack and twice was named the NE-10 Defensive Player of the Year. He was also named the Conference’s Player of the Year following the 1997 season.

His 45 career goals, 48 assists, and 138 total points currently place him second in each category in school history.  McAuliffe was selected as an Academic All-American in 1998, and he remains the only student-athlete in Merrimack history to have his number retired.
