NE-10 RELEASE

Mounir Tajiou, a two-year standout for the Southern New Hampshire University men's soccer program, is the first Penmen student-athlete to be selected into the conference's Hall of Fame, which began in 2006. A native of Stockholm, Sweden, Tajiou had a tremendous impact on the Penmen men's soccer program in just two seasons.

He was named the 2002 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division II National Player of the Year after leading SNHU to the national championship game and totaling 24 goals and 11 assists for 59 points, just three shy of the program record for points in a season. Southern New Hampshire posted a 20-3-2 record that season and won its second NE-10 championship in addition to its NCAA tournament run.

Inducted into the SNHU Athletic Hall of Fame in 2010, Tajiou totaled 40 goals and 17 assists for 97 points in two seasons. He is tied for ninth in program history in goals and sits 10th in career points despite playing just two years. An NE-10 First Team All-Conference selection in 2002 and two-time NSCAA All-Region selection, Tajiou led the Penmen to a 33-7-3 mark over his two seasons.
