NE10 RELEASE

Le Moyne’s Alison Lesher, Class of 2008.

A Five-Time All-American, Alison Lesher was the first individual national champion in the college’s history as she captured the 200-yard butterfly title in March of her senior season.

At the 2008 National Championship meet, Alison not only won a national title, but also placed 7th in the 1000-yard free and 7th in the 1650-yard freestyle, earning All-American honors in all three events.

The most decorated swimmer in Le Moyne history, she won 10 conference titles during her time in Syracuse. Alison was named the Women’s Swimming Athlete of the Year in 2007, and was twice recognized as the Most Valuable Swimmer at the NE10 Championships.

Out of the pool, Lesher was a tremendous student-athlete, as she was named to the Dean’s List during each of her 8 semesters and was a Presidential Scholar all four years. In 2008, she was recognized as the NE10s Woman of the Year and it’s Female Scholar Athlete of the Year. She would later go on to be named a finalist for the NCAA Woman of the Year award. Congratulations Alison!
