To say Mike O'Keefe remains the single most prolific baseball performer in Greyhound history is not a stretch. He is merely the second student-athlete at the College to be cited as an all American performer three times. He is also the only non-scholarship first-team all-American, honored in 1989, in the College's history.

He was a first-team American Association of Baseball Coaches all-American in 1989 after finishing fifth nationally in batting (.471) with 10 homers and 45 RBI, which produced the Triple Crown for the Northeast-10 Conference. He was named third-team after both the 1990 and 1992 seasons.

O'Keefe left the College as the New England Division II record-holder in seven major offensive categories and is also the career leader for the Hounds in singles, home runs (31) and walks. His career batting average of .427 places him third on the Hounds' all time list.

A four time All Conference selection, he was a three-time First Teamer and went on to earn two NE-10 Player of the Year awards in 1989 and 1992. He was also a four year selection to the A.A.B.C. all-District, all-New England and E.C.A.C. North teams.

He played in a record three New England All-Star Games (1989, 90, 92) is only the second Greyhound to play in the Cape Cod League.
