A standout for traditionally one of the best all around volleyball program in NE-10 history, Maria Vicens-Ivanov has left a lasting impact both with her program and NE-10 volleyball as a whole.

The 1989 graduate remains Bentley's career leader in kills with over 1,400 and is ranked in the top five all time for kill percentage, blocks and serving aces.

She was the guiding force to the Falcons four-year record of 157-20 which included four consecutive conference regular season championships and three tournament titles.

A three time All Conference First Team selection, she earned Player of the Year honors in 1987 and 1988, was the Most Valuable Player of the NE-10 Tournament in 1989, and was a three-time AVCA Division II All-Northeast Region honoree.

She was permanently enshrined into the Bentley Athletics Hall of Fame in 1997.
