There have been so many great coaches that have come, gone or are actively serving at this very moment in the Norteast-10, that one could be hard pressed to point out any one coach who stands above them all, but Stonehill's Paula Sullivan is perhaps the very best person with which to start.

Paula served as Stonehill's Head Women's Basketball Coach from the varsity inception of program in 1971 straight through to the end of the 1995-96 season. During those incredible 25 years, she posted an overall record of 478-159, retiring in April 1996 as the winningest Division II women's coach in New England history.

Her tenure includes six Conference championships and 10 NCAA tournament berths, "Elite Eight" appearances in 1994 and 1995, a school-record 30 win season in 1994-95, along with five NE-10 Coach of the Year honors and the Division II National Coach of the Year award in 1994.

As Director of Athletics, her tenure has included expansion of staff, programs, facilities, three team national championships, and nine conference titles.

She is a charter member of the Stonehill Athletics Hall of Fame and New England Basketball Hall of Fame, is a member of the New Agenda / Northeast Women's Hall of Fame and she has served on and has chaired several committees, including the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Committee and Chair of NE-10 Executive Committee.
