Week 4 - September 27, 2021

NE10 Player of the Week

Mia Klammer, Saint Rose
Freshman | Forward | Mahopac, N.Y.

Klammer became one of only five players, and the first in 22 years, in Golden Knights' annals to record four goals in a game. She pulled off the feat in Tuesday's 6-1 win at Pace and scored two more in Saturday's 3-1 triumph versus Bentley, which entered the match unbeaten in its previous five contests. On the week, she totaled six goals and 12 points.

NE10 Defensive Player of the Week

Rachel Newman, American International
Freshman | Back | Weymouth, Mass.

Newman dominated both ends of the field in a pair of wins for AIC. Not only did she help hold Le Moyne and Stonehill to just one goal and five corners while playing all 180 minutes at center back, she struck for two goals against the Skyhawks, including the game-winning tally.

NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week

Z Kaplan, Southern New Hampshire
Sophomore | Goalkeeper | Smithtown, N.Y.

Kaplan registered a career-high 11 saves in Tuesday's 2-0 shutout of Franklin Pierce, which was part of a 2-0-0 week for the Penmen.

NE10 Rookie of the Week

Freshman | Forward | Mahopac, N.Y.

Klammer became one of only five players, and the first in 22 years, in Golden Knights' annals to record four goals in a game. She pulled off the feat in Tuesday's 6-1 win at Pace and scored two more in Saturday's 3-1 triumph versus Bentley, which entered the match unbeaten in its previous five contests. On the week, she totaled six goals and 12 points.

NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Caroline Porter, American Int'l (Jr, F - Hopedale, Mass.)
AIC's captain carried her team to a 2-0-0 week in every aspect of the game. Against Le Moyne, she notched the team's first two goals and set up a third as AIC won 3-1. She followed that by striking less than two minutes into the second half of a 3-0 win against Stonehill to give her seven total points on the week.

Tamra Zippin, American Int'l (Jr, GK - Monson, Mass.)
Zippin came up clutch over and over for the Yellow Jackets in a pair of wins. She stopped six shots in a 3-1 victory over Le Moyne, and then authored a shutout over Stonehill playing the entire second half with a heavy wind in her face and making three stops in the frame.

Diana Bruggeman, Assumption (Sr., M - Natick, Mass.)
Bruggeman put up one goal and one assist in two ties for the Greyhounds last week. She started the week with a penalty kick in a 1-1 tie at Southern Connecticut on Tuesday. She assisted on Assumption's final goal in the final minute of regulation play in a 2-2 tie with Pace on Saturday. She finished the week with nine shots, six on goal for a .667 shots on goal percentage.

Amber Probasco, Pace (So., F - Hackettstown, N.J.)
Probasco led the Setters' offense during their 0-1-1 stretch last week. The New Jersey native tallied a goal in each contest, including the second tally in a 2-2 tie at Assumption on Saturday.

Olivia Gotobed, Saint Anselm (So., F - North Andover, Mass.)
Gotobed opened the match against New Haven with two goals. She is credited with the game-winning goal in the 4-0 victory. She fired four shots on goal, aiding the Hawks pace of play in the match.

Katie Escobedo, Saint Michael's (Jr., GK - New Rochelle, N.Y.)
Escobedo allowed two goals in 200 minutes last week, posting a 0.90 GAA with an .800 save percentage. She made five saves in a 1-1 draw at Stonehill on Tuesday, with only a redirection finding the back of the net, before stopping three more shots in a 1-0 loss at New Haven on Sunday. The Chargers scored their only goal in the 82nd minute.

Marika Laurendeau, Saint Rose (Sr, GK - Sainte-Julie, Quebec)
Laurendeau recorded all four of her saves in the second half to help the Golden Knights defeat a Bentley squad, 3-1, that had arrived into the match unbeaten in its previous five outings. On the week, she posted a 2-0 record against Pace and Bentley, allowing just two goals in 172-plus minutes and made five saves.

Allyson Patterson, Southern N.H. (Gr., M - Seekonk, Mass.)
Patterson notched six points on three goals during a 2-0-0 week for the Penmen. Patterson scored twice in Tuesday's 2-0 blanking of Franklin Pierce and then snapped a scoreless tie in the 62nd minute to send SNHU over Southern Connecticut, 1-0, Saturday.
