NE10 Player/Rookie of the Week

Tara McCleary, Saint Anselm
Sophomore | Midfield | Quincy, Mass.

McCleary fired a strike in the 24th minute, scoring the lone goal of the Hawks' 1-0 win over No. 12 Southern New Hampshire. The sophomore launched a right-footed strike from about 20 yards out into the upper right corner of the net for her first-collegiate goal. McCleary added an assist on the Hawks' second goal against Stonehill, marking her first-career helper.

NE10 Defensive Player of the Week

Kayla Mushorn, Adelphi
Sophomore | Defense | Massapequa, N.Y.

This week, Mushorn held down the right back position for a team that held their opposition off the board for 200 minutes, which included keeping Saint Rose, the No. 7 ranked and top scoring team in the NE10, without a goal on Wednesday (Oct. 27). She also played the cross that resulted in the assist on the game-winning goal in the 86th minute in a 1-0 win over Assumption on Saturday (Oct. 30).

NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week

Allie Smith, Southern Connecticut
Graduate Student | Goalkeeper | Danbury, Conn.

Smith was solid in a 1-1 week for the Owls that saw her post an .857 save percentage with 12 saves and one shutout, her sixth of the season. Smith helped the Owls shut out No. 7 nationally ranked Saint Rose with seven saves and a win that dealt the Golden Knights their first loss of the season.

NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Sarah Hofmeier, Adelphi (Sr, GK - Langenfeld, Germany)
Hofmeier moved into the top-five leaders in the NE10 for shutouts with her fourth and fifth clean sheets of 2021. She has not allowed a goal over her last 326:14. Hofmeier took care of both shots she faced in a scoreless outing against No. 7 Saint Rose last Wednesday (Oct. 27), then followed that up with a three-save performance in a 1-0 win over Assumption (Oct. 30).

Diana Bruggeman, Assumption (Sr., M - Natick, Mass.)
Bruggeman added five points from two goals and one assist in a 1-1 week for Assumption. Bruggeman put up both goals and the assist in a 4-1 victory over New Haven on Wednesday. She added one shot on goal in the Greyhound's 1-0 setback at Adelphi and finished the week with a .500 shots on goal percentage.

Viridiana Vazquez Kloss, Franklin Pierce (Jr., B - Veracruz, Mexico)
Vazquez Kloss was part of a defensive unit which surrendered only one goal in a 1-0-1 week. She also attempted five shots over the two games, and dished out the assist on the game's only goal in a 1-0 win over Le Moyne at home on Friday night.

Kate Macaluso, Saint Anselm (Jr, GK - Malverne, N.Y.)
In a 1-1 week for the Hawks, Macaluso posted a six-save shutout of No. 12 Southern New Hampshire on Thursday, which is her fifth shutout of the season. The Penmen registered 13 shots including five on goal, just in the second half. For the week, Macaluso accumulated nine saves.

Marika Laurendeau, Saint Rose (Sr, GK - Sainte-Julie, Quebec)
Laurendeau recorded seven saves and allowed only one goal throughout 200 minutes of action spanning a pair of matches against Adelphi and Southern Connecticut.

Amanda Dustin, Southern Conn. St. (Sr, D - Marshfield, Mass.)
Dustin started and played all 180 minutes for the Owls in a 1-1 week. Through 90 minutes, the back limited No. 7 nationally ranked Saint Rose to just seven shots on goal en route to a 1-0 victory, which dealt the Golden Knights their first loss of the season. She also had the Owls only goal and two shots in their 2-1 defeat at AIC.  

Camryn Thompson, Stonehill (Sr, F - Lincoln, R.I.)
Thompson scored the Skyhawks first two goals in Saturday night's 3-2 triumph at regionally-ranked Saint Anselm in their lone game of the week. She posted her third multi-goal match of the season with the brace that gave Stonehill a 2-0 lead early in the second half. She scored the opener with an unassisted tally 10:42 into the match and then doubled the Skyhawks lead 8:06 into the second.
