Week 6 - October 11, 2021

NE10 Player/Rookie of the Week

Eleonora Franco, Franklin Pierce
Freshman | Forward | Verona, Italy

Franco played in only one of the Ravens' two wins last week, but made the best of it. She poured in three goals on four shots, to record her first collegiate hat trick, in Saturday's 4-1 win over New Haven.

NE10 Defensive Player of the Week

Nadine Hilkert, Southern Connecticut
Graduate Student | Defense | Baden-Württemberg, Germany

Hilkert had a goal and one shot in the Owls' 2-1 conference win over Pace. Through 84 minutes played, the back limited the Setters to just six shots on goal.

NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week

Marika Laurendeau, Saint Rose
Fifth Year | Goalkeeper | Sainte-Julie, Quebec

Laurendeau did not allow a goal and registered 11 saves throughout 200 minutes of action while posting her league leading fifth and sixth shutouts of the year, as Saint Rose went 1-0-1 on the week against Saint Michael's and Assumption. She made eight stops in a 0-0 tie against the Greyhounds.

NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Kate Carleson, Assumption (So., M/F - Plainfield, Conn.)
Carleson rallied the Greyhounds to a 3-3 tie at Le Moyne on Tuesday. After trailing 2-0, she got the Greyhounds on the board with her first goal of the game before the half. The Dolphins were leading 2-1 with 10 minutes to go and Carleson knocked in her second goal of the game to tie the game, 3-3.

Julia Walsh, Assumption (Fr., GK - San Diego, Calif.)
Walsh had another impressive week in net for the Greyhounds as they posted two more double OT ties. She started the week with one save in a 3-3 tie at Le Moyne before making a game-changing 13 stops to preserve aa 0-0 shutout with No. 10 Saint Rose at home on Saturday. She finished the week with an .824 save percentage.

Gabby Calidonio, Franklin Pierce (Fr., GK - Flagler Beach, Fla.)
In her only action last week, Calidonio made 10 saves against 11 shots to pick up the win at Saint Anselm on Tuesday afternoon.

Viridiana Vazquez Kloss, Franklin Pierce (Jr., B - Veracruz, Mexico)
Vazquez Kloss was part of a defensive unit which surrendered only a pair of goals in a 2-0-0 week, as the Ravens won at Saint Anselm on Tuesday, 3-1, and at home against New Haven on Saturday, 4-1. She added an assist at Saint Anselm as well, and attempted three shots on the week (two on goal).

Perri Anderson, Pace (Fr., GK - Mountainville, N.Y.)
Anderson played a huge role in a pair of tight games for the Setters last week. She was especially impressive on Saturday night when she registered a season-high 10 saves in a 3-2 triumph over Bentley. Anderson also recorded seven stops in a 2-1 defeat at SCSU earlier in the week.

Aryanna Ortiz, Pace (Jr, M - Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.)
Ortiz served a vital role during the Setters' thrilling 3-2 win over Bentley on Saturday night. The junior put in the first two goals of her career in the first half to give Pace a pair of leads.

Kelsey Burr, Southern Conn. St. (Sr, F - Wallingford, Conn.)
Burr netted the game-winning goal, and added an assist and four shots in Southern Connecticut's 2-1 conference win over Pace in the Owls only game of the week.

Allie Smith, Southern Conn. St. (Gr., GK - Danbury, Conn.)
Smith made five saves and allowed just one goal through 90 minutes to lead the Owls to a 2-1 conference victory over Pace.

Alyssa Anderson, Southern N.H. (So., F/M - Londonderry, N.H.)
Anderson registered a goal and two assists for four points during a 1-0-1 week for the Penmen. Anderson assisted on the 80th-minute equalizer in Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Mercy and then the other three points came in Saturday's 3-0 win against Le Moyne. Anderson snapped the scoreless deadlock in the 51st minute and then set up a goal that doubled the lead in the 53rd minute.

Ai Inoue, Southern N.H. (Gr., B - Tokyo, Japan)
Inoue was dominant in Saturday's 3-0 victory against Le Moyne. She anchored a back line that allowed just two shots on goal and set up a 22-8 shot advantage for the Penmen. She also collected an assist with a beautiful feed that led to the game's first goal in the 51st minute.
