WOMEN'S SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL
Penmen Earn First-Ever Regular Season Title.
MANSFIELD, Mass. - For the first time in program history, Southern New Hampshire has won the Northeast-10 Conference regular season title and will enter the Women's Soccer Championship on Sunday as the top seed, as announced by the league office on Wednesday night.
The Penmen (13-2-1, 11-2 NE10) - currently ranked No. 16 in the United Soccer Coaches' Poll - edged No. 8 Saint Rose (12-1-3, 9-1-3 NE10) in the NE10 standings, despite a head-to-head loss to the Golden Knights. In his eighth season, head coach Elie Monteiro looks to help the Penmen to their first NE10 Championship since 2017.

The NE10 Championship quarterfinals are set for Sunday, Nov. 7, and the semifinals are scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 11. The Championship final is set for Sunday, Nov. 14. All postseason matchups will take place at the home field of higher seeds and will be broadcast live on NE10NOW.tv.
Southern New Hampshire will open NE10 Championship play against eighth-seeded Southern Connecticut - the reigning NE10 runner-up - while second-seeded Saint Rose will take on seventh-seeded Adelphi in the quarterfinal round. Third-seeded Bentley hosts sixth-seeded Saint Anselm and fourth-seeded Assumption welcomes fifth-seeded Franklin Pierce to round out Sunday's action.
Prior to attending a postseason contest, fans are strongly encouraged to visit the NE10's Attendance Policies page, which outlines the current COVID-19 guidelines at each institution.
All matches may be impacted by the conference's COVID-19 protocols, but no bracket adjustments will be made. If a team is not available to play, it will be recorded as a "No Contest" and their opponent will advance to the next round.

* Assumption, Franklin Pierce and Saint Anselm all finished with a .577 win percentage. Within the mini-conference, Assumption was 2-0, Franklin Pierce was 1-1 and Saint Anselm was 0-2. Assumption earned the #4 seed, Franklin Pierce #5 and Saint Anselm #6.
