NE10 Men's Track Athlete of the Week

Blake Jandreau, New Haven
Graduate Student | Wallingford, Conn.

Jandreau earned a pair of medalist honors in his two events at this past weekend's Coast Guard Winter Invitational. Individually, Jandreau took home first place honors in the 600-meter run, leading a field of five runners with his time of 1:26.01. Later in the day, Jandreau joined the 4x200-meter relay that took home first place honors as the Chargers swept the top two spots. Jandreau's relay not only won the event, they also set a facility and New Haven school record.


NE10 Men's Field Athlete of the Week

Yoofi Abaka-Amuah, Assumption
Freshman | Worcester, Mass.

Abaka-Amuah continues to re-write the Assumption record books as he demolished the school record in the weight throw today at Brandeis, as his throw of 17.51m won the event. The Worcester native also won the shot put with a throw of 15.25m.


NE10 Men's Track Rookie of the Week

Christopher Gregory, New Haven
Freshman | Brockton, Mass.

Competing in three events at this past weekend's Coast Guard Winter Invitational, Gregory took home a pair of runner-up finishes, one individually and one as a member of a relay team. Gregory's top individual performance came in the 600-meter run where he posted a season-best time of 1:32.04 to finish as the runner-up. He also competed in the 55-meter hurdles where he finished fifth overall and then as a member of the 4x200-meter relay team, again taking second place honors.


NE10 Men's Field Rookie of the Week

Yoofi Abaka-Amuah, Assumption
Freshman | Worcester, Mass.

Abaka-Amuah continues to re-write the Assumption record books as he demolished the school record in the weight throw today at Brandeis, as his throw of 17.51m won the event. The Worcester native also won the shot put with a throw of 15.25m.


NE10 Men's Relay of the Week

4x200 Relay, New Haven

Beating its competition by more than two seconds, the Chargers 4x200-meter relay team of Ryan Williams, Blake Jandreau, Jason Lorent, Nile Colson not only won the event with their time of 1:31.13, but also set a new Coast Guard facility record and broke the New Haven program record in the event.


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Gabe Medina, AIC (Jr. - Springfield, Mass.)
Medina won the 3000-meter run at the Tufts Jumbo Invitational on Saturday in 8:42.15. With the conversion to account for it being a flat track, Medina now leads the NE10 in the event by nearly 3.5 seconds.

Tre'Sean Bouie, Assumption (Sr. - Philadelphia, Pa.)
Bouie had two top-three finishes at the Reggie Poyau Memorial Invite, winning the 400m (51.73) before taking third in the 200m (23.56).

Connor Everidge, Franklin Pierce (Sr. - Baldwinsville, Mass.)
Everidge continued to dominate in throwing category at this past weekend's Snowflake Invitational, hosted by Middlebury College, claiming a 2nd-place finish in the Men's Shotput (14.03), as well as a 1st-place in the Men's Weight Throw (15.42m)

Kenneth Holland, New Haven (Jr. - Circleville, N.Y.)
Competing in a pair of field events, Holland earned top-3 finishes in both events. He started his day taking home medalist honors in the long jump with his leap of meters which he hit on his third attempt. He followed that up with a third place finish in the triple jump with his leap of 13.42 meters, setting that mark on his second attempt

Charles Morris, Le Moyne (Sr. - North Syracuse, N.Y.)
He placed sixth in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:58.92 on Friday at the Spartan Invitational.

Nathaniel Llanos, Southern Conn. St. (Jr. - Danbury, Conn.)
At the I95 Showdown against New Haven and Bridgeport, Nathaniel Llanos won the Pole Vault with a NCAA provisional qualifying height of 15'11", which was also a career-best for the junior.

Gary Robinson, Jr., Southern Conn. St. (Jr. - Montclair, N.J.)
At the I95 Showdown against New Haven and Bridgeport, Gary Robinson, Jr. won the Weight Throw with a distance of 52'8 ¼", while in the Shot Put he recorded a throw of 46'8 ¼".
