NE10 Women's Track Athlete of the Week

Izzy Newbury, Southern Conn. St.
Sophomore | Moosup, Conn.

Competing at the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational hosted by University of Miami, Izzy Newbury won the 400 Hurdles with a time of 1:02.60, defeating a NCAA Division I field comprised of runners from St. John's, Harvard and Dartmouth. She also finished 14th in the 100 Meter Hurdles with a time of 15.03. She was also part of the 4x400 Relay team that finished second with a NCAA Division II provisional time of 3:48.45.


NE10 Women's Field Athlete of the Week

Kyria Moore, Adelphi
Senior | Amityville, N.Y.

Kyria Moore opened the 2023 outdoor season with an incredible mark in the hammer throw, launching the best distance in the East Region and fourth best in Division II at the Monmouth meet. Her longest mark toss in the competition came on her final attempt when she threw 58.23 meters.


NE10 Women's Track Rookie of the Week

Anna-Sashia Jones, Southern Conn. St. 
Freshman | Hanover, N.H.

At the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational hosted by University of Miami, Anna-Sashia Jones finished 11th in the 100 Meters with a time of 12.26, outpacing runners from NCAA Division I Miami, Dartmouth, St. John's and Florida Atlantic. She then followed with a time of 25.00 in the 200 Meters, finishing 23rd out of 38. She was also part of the 4x100 Relay team that posted a NCAA Division II provisional time of 46.35.


NE10 Women's Field Rookie of the Week

Madison Lupino, Assumption
Freshman | Coventry, R.I.

Lupino had a strong start to her outdoor season, as she took first in the hammer (40.15m | 131' 9")


NE10 Women's Relay of the Week

4x100 Relay, Southern Conn. St.

At the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational, the Owls' 4x100 Relay team comprised of Dardielle Exantus, Anna-Sashia Jones, Kisha Francois and Ella Maclean posted a NCAA Division II provisional time of 46.35.


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Amari Johnson, Adelphi (So. - Mooresville, N.C.)
Amari Johnson ran the best 100 hurdles race in the East Region over the weekend, as the team competed at the 27th Annual Monmouth University Track & Field Season Opener. Her time of 14.48 was second overall and just .24 off a provisional mark for Division II.

Katherine Marsh, Adelphi (Sr. - East Meadow, N.Y.)
Katherine Marsh ran the best time in the 1500 meter race in the East Region over opening weekend for Adelphi - as the team competed at the 27th Annual Monmouth University Track & Field Season Opener. She clocked in at 4:42.34 to place second in the field behind an athlete from Division I Siena.

Olivia Johnson, Assumption (Sr. - Stratford, Conn.)
At the BSU Bear Invite, Johnson had a pair of top-four placements. She took first in the triple jump (10.77m | 35' 4") before finishing fourth in the long jump (4.82m | 15' 9.75")

Rachel Fleischer, Southern Conn. St. (Sr. - Derby, Conn.)
At the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational, Rachel Fleischer finished fifth in the Triple Jump with a mark of 11.76m. She also finished 15th out of 24 in the Long Jump at 5.42m.

Kisha Francois, Southern Conn. St. (So. - East Haven, Conn.)
At the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational hosted by University of Miami, Kisha Francois was the Owls' top finisher in the 200 Meters with a time of 24.92. She was also part of the Owls' 4x100 Relay team that posted a NCAA Provisional time of 46.35. Competing in field event as well, Francois posted a mark of 5.33m in the Long Jump.
