SCSU Leads NE10 with Three USTFCCCA All-Americans.
MANSFIELD, Mass. - Southern Connecticut's Jordan Davis boasted the highest placement of any Northeast-10 student-athlete with his fourth place finish in javelin, and was joined by five NE10 student-athletes as USTFCCCA All-Americans at the 2023 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Davis was named a First Team All-American after his 72.85m toss at the championships. He is joined by fellow Owls Sachin Manning (Second Team) and Rachel Fleischer (First Team) as All-Americans. Manning was also named to the Second Team with a 52.37 run in the 400H that was good for ninth place, and Fleischer was named to the First Team with her personal-best distance of 12.48m in the triple jump.
Rounding out the honorees on the men's side, Assumption's Tre'Sean Bouie placed fifth in the 400M final with a time of 46.53 to earn a spot on the First Team.
Joining Fleischer and Bouie as First Team All-Americans are Adelphi's Kyria Moore who placed 10th in hammer throw with a 56.52m toss and Southern New Hampshire's Ashley Corcoran who finished in seventh place with a time of 10:37.75 in the 3000M steeplechase.
