NE10 Men's Track Athlete of the Week

Callum Elson, American International
Freshman | Leeds, England

Elson ran an astounding mile at the Sorlien Invitational at URI on Saturday. His time of 4:06.40 (adjusted for a flat track) represents the third-best time in Division II and is more than 18 seconds faster than anyone in the NE10 not on Elson's team.


NE10 Men's Field Athlete of the Week

Cody DeAngelo, Stonehill 
Sophomore | Old Saybrook, Conn.

Cody DeAngelo set a new career-high in the pole vault at 4.20 meters for sixth place. DeAngelo topped his previous career-high of 4.00 meters set back in May 2021.

NE10 Men's Field Rookie of the Week

Zerion Montgomery, New Haven
Freshman | Derby, Conn.

Montgomery competed in a pair of events in the first meet back from break, the MLK Relays hosted at the Armory in New York City. The jumper participated in the long jump and triple jump events for the Chargers, posting a distance of 6.55m on his first attempt in the long jump and a leap of 13.73 meters on his third, of four, attempts in the triple jump.


NE10 Men's Relay of the Week

4x200 Relay, New Haven

The New Haven men's 4x200-meter relay team broke a school record in their first event back from break, the MLK Relays at the Armory in New York City. The relay consisting of Jason Lorrent, Nile Colson, Blake Jandreau and Ryan Williams finished the event in a time of 1:30.88, two seconds faster than the record which was set back in 2015.


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Andre Francis, Adelphi (Fr. - S. Ozone Park, N.Y. )
Andre Francis threw the best freshman distance this season in the NE10 in the weight throw, throwing for 13.42m to solidify his spot at no. 1 for Adelphi's all-time freshman list.

Abdiel Tejada, New Haven (Sr. - Willimantic, Conn.)
Tejada competed as part of a four-man team in the Shuttle Hurdle which won the event and set a new collegiate meet record with their time of 33.16. For the event he was partnered up with Jardany Dely, Cole Parker and Nathaniel Peters as he ran the opening leg of the race.

Kenny Barrett, Le Moyne (Sr., - Lagrangeville, N.Y.)
He won the 800-meter run by almost one second with a time of 2:00.27 at the Utica Winter Opener on Saturday. The time is the fifth-best in the NE10 this year.

Nicholas Hafner, Le Moyne (Jr. - Hamburg, N.Y.)
He placed eighth in the long jump with a season-best distance of 20-feet, 2.5-inches at the Utica Winter Opener on Saturday.

Patrick Garratt, Stonehill (So. - Westwood, Mass.)
Patrick Garratt had a strong showing for Stonehill today as the sophomore took home first in the 3000-meter race. He earned his first collegiate win in the 3,000-meter race by posting a blistering time of 8:53.10 which was a solid eight seconds ahead of second place. His time in the race topped a previous career-high of 9:17.39 set back in April.
