NE10 Men's Track Athlete of the Week

Eli Henry, Southern Connecticut
Sophomore | Sprints | Stratford, Conn.

Henry broke the SCSU-program 200-meter dash record and finished in first place in the 200-meter dash at the Mark Young Invitational with a time of 21.01, the fastest in the NE10 this season and 14th best in all of Division II. Henry also finished in second place in the 400-meter dash with a time of 47.85.


NE10 Men's Field Athlete of the Week

Jonathan Cineus, New Haven
Senior | Throws | Stratford, Conn.

Cineus competed in a pair of events this past weekend at the Carisella Invitational hosted by Northeastern University. His highlight of the weekend came in the triple jump where he lept a distance of 13.96 meters which took medal honors among a field of eight jumpers. He also took home fifth place honors in the long jump with a leap of 6.68 meters. With two weeks remaining before the NE10's Cineus is currently 2nd in the East Region in the triple jump and best in the NE10.


NE10 Men's Track Rookie of the Week

Jonathan Volpe, Southern Connecticut
Freshman | Distance | Leeds, England

Volpe finished in third place in the 800-meter run with a personal-best time of 1:52.87, the third best 800-meter time in the NE10 this season and best by a freshman.


NE10 Men's Field Rookie of the Week

Cole Parker, New Haven
Freshman | Jumps | Severn, Md.

In his only event of the weekend, Parker finished runner-up in the long jump at the Carisella Invitational hosted by Northeastern. His distance of 6.88 meters is his best of the outdoor season while he is currently sixth best in the East Region.


NE10 Men's Relay of the Week

4x400 Relay, New Haven

The 4x400 meter relay team of Ryan Williams, Blake Jandreau, Kevin Leach-Brown and Jordany Dely posted the second-fastest relay time in the NE10 this year with its time of 3:20.59 at the Jay Carisella Coaches Invitational


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Diego Llanos, Adelphi (So. - Fresh Meadows, N.Y.)
Diego Llanos ran a career best in the 1500m this weekend at the Rider Invite, finishing in a time of 4:02.89. He placed 28th overall behind a slew of Division I competition, in a field of 77 racers.

Claudio Rocha, Assumption (Jr. - Peabody, Mass.)
Claudio Rocha captured the 5,000-meter run at the George Davis Invitational by punching in a time of 15:08.02, which was more than 11 seconds faster than the rest of the field.

Devin Jones, Franklin Pierce (Sr. - Manchester, N.H.)
Ran a school-record time of 21.69 seconds to win the 200-meter dash on Saturday at MIT, with a time which ranks third in the NE10. Also finished third in the 100-meter dash (11.06) and was part of a second-place 4x100-meter relay team (42.45).

Jordany Dely, New Haven (So - Spring Valley, N.Y.)
Dely competed in a pair of events at the Carisella Invitational hosted by Northeastern University, finishing third overall in the 110-meter hurdles and first as the anchor of the 4x400-meter relay. In the hurdles event, he finished with a time of 15.04, while he currently owns the best time in the East Region in the event. In the 4x4, he was joined by Ryan Williams, Blake Jandreau and Ken Leach-Brown to take home medal honors among a field of four teams.

Ja'Lil Reynolds, The College of Saint Rose (So - Hopewell Junction, N.Y.)
Reynolds cleared the 1.97-meter bar to win the men's high jump on Saturday at the Spring Classic at the University of Albany.

Bernardo Mbaya, Southern Connecticut (Sr. - Waterbury, Conn.)
Mbaya recorded two first place finishes at the Mark Young Invitational. In the shot put, he recorded a throw of 15.81 meters, and recorded a throw of 48.04 meters in the discus, a new personal-best and the 10th best mark in program history. His discus throw is second best in the NE10 this season.

Colin Black, Stonehill (Jr. - Hopedale, Mass.)
Black won the 5000-meter run in 15:18.10 to lead a list of four Stonehill runners in the event with 15 entries overall. Both times he has competed in this event during the outdoor season, Black has finished within the top three each time.

Parker Hagen, Stonehill College (Fr. - Newport, R.I.)
Freshman Parker Hagen placed second in the triple jump with a distance of 41-feet, 0.25-inches. He was also ninth in the long jump by clearing a distance of 19-feet, 9.75-inches.
