Student-Athletes Qualify for NCAA DII Track & Field National Championships

11 Individuals & Four Relays To Compete in NCAA Championships


INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. –  The Northeast-10 had 11 student-athletes qualify for the NCAA Track & Field National Championships for individual events and four relays qualified as well, following the NCAA's announcement of the championship field on Tuesday evening. 

American International had two relays qualify along with six student-athletes in individual events. Southern Connecticut had four men earn the trip to the NCAA Championships in individual events while also sending a pair of relays. SNHU had one qualifier, with Ashley Corcoran making it in the 1-mile event.

The Yellow Jackets had a pair of women recognized, as Roxan Foster will compete in the 60 meter hurdles, while teammate Adia Cavalier will be in the triple jump. 

On the AIC men's side, Yvan Lopes Ribeiro will compete in three events, the 60 meter hurdles, long jump and triple jump. Callum Elson and Ezra Mutai will both compete in the 3000 meters while Elson will run in the 1-mile and Mutai will take part in the 5000 meters. Clement Paillon is one of the top seeds in the 800 meters while AIC's 4x400 and Distance Medley Relays both qualified. 

The Owls also had their 4x400 and Distance Medley Relay earn a trip to the NCAA Championships, along with four men in individual events. Nigel Green will represent the NE10 in the 200 meters and Terrell Patterson will race in the 800 meters. Jaylynn Cundiff will compete in the long jump, while Cameron Belton will throw the shot put.
