NE10 Men's Track Athlete of the Week

Nigel Green, Southern Connecticut
Senior | Shirley, N.Y.

At the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational, Green set a new SCSU record in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.08, breaking a 25-year old mark set in 1997. Green finished in first place in the event, and was one of two athletes that finished in the top 11 that were not from a Division I school. He notably finished ahead of professional runners Jon Okoye of Nigeria and Spenser Schmidt of the United States. Green's time was also the second fastest in all of Division II this season and fastest by an NE10 student-athlete since Evan White ran a 21.05 on Feb. 24, 2012. Green also finished in second place in the 400-meter run with a time of 47.83, just behind an athlete from Harvar


NE10 Men's Field Athlete of the Week

Jordan Davis, Southern Connecticut
Sophomore | Wallingford, Conn.

In his first meet of the season, Davis broke the SCSU program javelin throw record at the Raleigh Relays with a mark of 70.05 meters, becoming the first athlete in school history to eclipse 70-meters. Davis finished in second place out of 37 at the meet, finishing behind a student-athlete from Division I Penn. Davis' throw was also 13th best across all collegiate levels this season and the farthest by an NE10 athlete since at least 2010.


NE10 Men's Track Rookie of the Week

Jonathan Volpe, Southern Connecticut
Freshman | Naugatuck, Conn.

Volpe finished with a time of 3:54.96 in the 1500-meter run at the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational, the second best 1500-meter time in the NE10 during the outdoor season so far and best by a freshman. His time was also eighth best by all Division II freshman last week.


NE10 Men's Field Rookie of the Week

Jordan Emile, New Haven
Freshman | Stoughton, Mass.

Emile started his outdoor season strong, taking fourth in the high jump at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational with a height of 1.98 meters. It's the highest mark in the NE10 this spring and a collegiate best for Emile.


NE10 Men's Relay of the Week

4x400 Relay, Southern Connecticut

The 4x400-meter relay team of Eli Henry, Ramsley Exantus, Marquis Whyte, and Sachin Manning finished in fourth place with a time of 3:14.24 at the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational, the best by an NE10 relay team during the outdoor season so far and seventh fastest in all of Division II.


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Luke Sulli, Adelphi (So. - Seaford, N.Y. )
Luke Sulli raced the fastest time in the NE10 this weekend in the 110 Hurdle event, finishing in a time of 15.83 to place fifth overall at the Monmouth Season Opener.

Brice Tolan, Bentley (Jr. - Abington, Mass.)
At the Bridgewater State Bears Invitational, Tolan was third among 86 runners in the 1500 meters, finishing in 4:03.81.

Brogan Bonsaint, Franklin Pierce (So. - Somersworth, N.H.)
Fired the javelin 59.60 meters on Saturday, to take first place at the Trojan Challenge, hosted by Mount Olive. The mark met the NCAA qualifying standard in the event, was a new program record, and currently sits 15th in the country.

William Bilow, Le Moyne (Sr. - Chasm Falls, N.Y.)
He placed third in the high jump by clearing the bar at a modern program-record height of 6-feet, 2.75-inches at Susquehanna's Jim Taylor Invitational. He also finished 18th in the triple jump with a mark of 39-feet, 3.25-inches.

Wondu Summa, Franklin Pierce (So. - Burlington, Vt.)
Finished second in the 5000 meters, and as the top collegiate finisher, with a school-record time of 14:38 on Saturday at the Trojan Challenge, hosted by Mount Olive. The mark is currently tops in the NE10 by 15 seconds.

Kevin Leach Brown, New Haven (Gr. - Bronx, N.Y.)
In his only event of the weekend at the Wesleyan Swanson Invitational, Leach Brown posted a time of 50 seconds flat to take home medalist honors in the 400-meter dash, topping the field of 14 runners.

Carlos Rivera, New Haven (So.)
In a pair of events at this weekend's Wesleyan Swanson Invitational, Rivera finished top-5 in both with his best finish of the day in the hammer throw where he hit a distance of 43.64 meters to take second place overall. That distance came on his first attempts at the event. He followed that up with a fifth place finish in the shot put with a distance of 12.71 meters.

Cody DeAngelo, Stonehill (So. - Warrick, R.I.)
At the UMass Lowell Invitational, sophomore Cody DeAngelo placed second out of ten entries in the pole vault by clearing a personal-best height of 13-feet, 9.25-inches.

Solomon King, Stonehill (So. - Norwood, Mass.)
In his collegiate debut in the 100-meter dash, King took home first place with a blistering time of 11.21 at the UMass Lowell Invitational.
