NE10 Men's Track Athlete of the Week

Nigel Green, Southern Connecticut
Senior | Shirley, N.Y.

Green finished in second place in the 60-meter dash at the Bruce Lehane Scarlet and White Invite with a time of 6.91, the fastest time among NCAA competitors and ninth best in program history. Green also in fifth place, and first among Division II athletes, in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.45, sixth best in program history and fifth best in the Division II this season.


NE10 Men's Field Athlete of the Week

Worlf Malivert, American International
R-Freshman | Somerville, Mass

Malivert had a fantastic showing for AIC in the New England Championships. Most notably, he won the triple jump with an NCAA-qualifier mark of 14.64 meters, and added a third-place finish in the 60-meter dash at 6.94 seconds to help AIC finish second in New England, their best finish ever.


NE10 Men's Track Rookie of the Week

Stephen Harris, Franklin Pierce
Sophomore | Billerica, Mass.

Won the New England title in the 200-meter dash over the weekend, with a program-record run of 21.49 seconds in Saturday's final. The time is 15th in the nation and second in the NE10.


NE10 Men's Field Rookie of the Week

Worlf Malivert, American International
R-Freshman | Somerville, Mass

Malivert had a fantastic showing for AIC in the New England Championships. Most notably, he won the triple jump with an NCAA-qualifier mark of 14.64 meters, and added a third-place finish in the 60-meter dash at 6.94 seconds to help AIC finish second in New England, their best finish ever.


NE10 Men's Relay of the Week

4x400, American International

AIC's 4x400 relay unit finished second at the New England Championships with a 3:19.17 showing. The quartet of Bailey Murphy, Silas Choge, Junior Pontes Da Veiga and Marvin Dure posted the best time for a 4x400 team in the conference on the week and second-best in the NE10 this year.


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Junior Pontes Da Veiga, American International (R-Fr. - Amherst, Mass.)
Much was asked of Pontes Da Veiga by AIC's coaching staff at the New England Championship and he delivered, scoring in the 200-meter dash as well as taking part in both the 4x400 relay and distance medley relay units that finished second.

Anthony Spignese, Assumption (So. - Danvers, Mass.)
Anthony Spignese placed second in both the 60-meter dash and 200-meter dash at the New England Championships over the weekend. He posted runner-up marks of 6.92 seconds in the 60 and 21.58 in the 200.

Nicholas Hafner, Le Moyne (Jr. - Hamburg, N.Y.)
He won the heptathlon with a program-record 4071 points on Friday and Saturday at the Brockport Multi & Invitational. He placed first in four of the seven events of the heptathlon.

Jonathan Cineus, New Haven (Sr. - Stratford, Conn.)
Cineus led a pair of All-New England finishers in the triple jump, finishing his only event at the New England Championships in third place overall with a distance of 14.24 meters which came on his penultimate attempt.

AJ Tejada, New Haven (Sr. - Willimantic, Conn.)
Tejada was part of a trio of All-New England honorees in the 60m hurdles, finishing the event in second place overall, just two one-hundredths off of his personal best in the event. The senior finished the event with a time of 8.29, finishing second overall and one spot above his teammate Jordany Dely.

Ja'Lil Reynolds, Saint Rose (Fr. - Hopewell Junction, N.Y.)
Reynolds cleared the 2.01-meter bar to claim third place in Saturday's Scarlet & White Invite at Boston University.

Cameron Belton, Southern Connecticut (So. - Baltic, Conn.)
In the shot put, Cameron Belton (Baltic, Conn.) finished in seventh place, and first among competing Division II athletes, with a mark of 16.44 meters at the Bruce Lehane Scarlet and White Invite. His throw is the best in the NE10 this season.

Ian Cann, Stonehill College (So. - Hopkinton, Mass.)
Cann not only earned All-New England status with his sixth-place finish in the one mile, but he also set a new personal record crossing the line at 4:23.54. Cann ended up topping his previous mark (4:27.90) set back in January at the URI Coaches Memorial Invite. In each racing event, Cann has competed in, he has finished within the top-10 in five out of his six events he has run in.

Jacob Pacheco, Stonehill College (So. - Merrimack, N.H.)
Pacheco earned All-New England status for his seventh-place finish in the pole vault. He had reached a height of 4.10 meters which tied his third-highest mark on the season. Every time Pacheco has partaken in the pole vault, he finished within the top-10 in each of those events.
