NE10 Women's Track Athlete of the Week

Ashley Corcoran, Southern New Hampshire
Graduate Student | East Longmeadow, Mass.

Graduate student Ashley Corcoran ran the fastest mile in SNHU program history in 4:51.44 at the NEICAAA New England Championships. It was the 17th fastest in NCAA Division II this season and the top mark in the NE10.


NE10 Women's Field Athlete of the Week

Raven-Symone Jarrett, American International
R-Freshman | New Britain, Conn.

Competing in her first collegiate pentathlon, AIC's sprinter proved she could literally do it all, finishing second in a field crowded with DI talent. Her score of 3408 leads the NE10 by over 700 points and makes her the only NCAA qualifier in the event for the conference. Notably, her 1.65-meter high jump as part of the pentathlon would have won the open high jump event. On top of that, she also scored for AIC in the 60-meter hurdles and as part of the 4x400-meter relay. Her 9.04 second time in the open 60-meter hurdles was second only to her teammate Roxan Foster in the NE10 for the weekend.


NE10 Women's Track Rookie of the Week

Ella Maclean, Southern Connecticut
Freshman | Hanover, N.H.

Maclean finished in 12th place in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.87 Bruce Lehane Scarlet and White Invite, the best among Division II athletes at the meet. Maclean also finished in 21st place out of 91 in the 200-meter dash with a personal-best time of 25.39, also the best among Division II athletes and second best in the NE10 this season.


NE10 Women's Field Rookie of the Week

NE10 Women's Relay of the Week

4x400 Relay, Southern Connecticut

The 4x400-meter relay team of Dube, Newbury, Exantus, and Maclean finished in seventh place at the Bruce Lehane Scarlet and White Invite with a time of 3:55.30, better than Division I teams Vermont and St. Joseph's. The time was also the fastest in the NE10 this season by over five seconds and fastest for Southern since May 11, 2019 during the New England Outdoor Championships.


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Gabrielle Griffin, Adelphi (Sr. - Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.)
Gabbrielle Griffin set a new career-best in the 200 this weekend at the Boston University Bruce Lehane Scarlet and White Invite, with a mark of 26.03 - which ranks her eighth this season among NE10 competitors. She also helped the 4x400 relay to a 10th place finish (4:11.01) and ran 1:01.24 in the 400.

Lucy Ambroult, Bentley (So. - Holbrook, Mass.)
At Boston University's Bruce Lehane Scarlet and White Invitational, Ambroult moved into the top six in program history in both the long jump (16?8?, 5th all-time) and the 200 meters (26.89, 6th all-time). She improved on her long jump PR by 1.5 inches and her 200 best by 1.06 seconds. Overall in the predominantly Division I meet, she was 14th of 22 in the long jump, 31st of 49 in the 60 (8.22) and 76th of 91 in the 200.

Paola Brena, Franklin Pierce (Sr. - Queretaro, Mexico)
Won the New England title in the high jump on Friday, by clearing 1.65 meters. Leads the NE10 and ranks T-13th in the nation in the event, based on a height from earlier in the season. Also this weekend, finished ninth in the triple jump on Saturday at BU (10.84m). Is fourth in the NE10 in the event, based on a distance from earlier in the year.

Madison Kozyra, Le Moyne  (R-Fr. - Marcy, N.Y.)
She placed in the top-seven of both throwing events on Saturday at the Brockport Multi & Invitational. She recorded a distance of 38-feet, 9.75-inches to place third in the shot put and finished seventh in the weight throw with a mark of 42-feet, 8-inches.

Samantha Pellegrini, Le Moyne (Sr. - Loudonville, N.Y.)
She placed second in the 5000-meter run in 19:20.92 on Saturday at the Brockport Multi & Invitational.

Kristen Washington, New Haven (Sr. - New Haven, Conn.)
A two-time All-New England finished this past weekend, Washington finished seventh in both of her events at the New England Championships. She began with her best attempt at the long jump coming on her fifth try where she hit a distance of 5.45 meters. She followed that up with a leap of 10.99 meters in the triple jump which came on her second of six attempts. Washington was the only Charger to finish top-8 in two events at the New England Championships.

Rachel Fleischer, Southern Connecticut (Sr. - Derby, Conn. )
Fleischer finished in second place in the triple jump with a leap of 11.74 meters Bruce Lehane Scarlet and White Invite, better than athletes from Division I programs UMass-Lowell, Monmouth, Yale, UAB, And St. Joseph's. It is also the second best triple jump leap in the NE10 this season.

Distance Medley Relay, Southern N.H.
The DMR team of sophomore Kaitlyn O'Rourke (Braintree, Mass.), senior Meghan Stroh (New Fairfield, Conn.), sophomore Riley McDermott (Kennebunkport, Maine), and graduate student Ashley Corcoran (East Longmeadow, Mass.) turned in a third-place finish to Div. 1 programs Quinnipiac and UMass/Amherst. The Penmen ran the race in 12:26.92 and finished ahead of five other teams.

Kaytlin Encarnacao , Stonehill (So. - Reading, Mass.)
After qualifying yesterday in the 400-meter prelims with a time of 58.83 seconds, Encarnacao finished fourth and topped her qualifying time with a new personal record of 58.16 seconds. With her strong time, Encarnacao earned All-New England status while also having finished within the top-10 each time she has competed in the 400-meter race this season.

Abigail Larsson, Stonehill (So. - Bayport, N.Y.)
Larsson competed in the pole vault for a 13th place finish with a height of 3.20 meters. Her new mark set a career-high which topped her previous best (3.05 meters) set back in January at the URI Coaches Tribute Meet. Larson has placed within the top-10 in each of the three events she partook in this year.
