NE10 Men's Track Athlete of the Week

Clement Paillon, American International
Sophomore | Mid-Distance | Brussieu, France

Paillon continued to prove himself to be among the best at the 800-meter run, with a national-qualifying and NE10-best 1:49.58 mark in the event at the UConn Northeast Challenge.


NE10 Men's Field Athlete of the Week

Turner Kelly, Southern Connecticut
Graduate Student | Throws | Amityville, N.Y.

Kelly nearly broke his own program record in the shot put, as he finished in first place with a throw of 18.44 meters at the UConn Northeast Challenge, the third best throw in program history and third best throw in the NE10 this season, bested only by two of his throws earlier this season. He also finished in sixth place in the discus throw with a personal-best mark of 48.83 meters, the seventh best throw in program history and the best throw in the NE10 this season.


NE10 Men's Track Rookie of the Week

Callum Elson, American International
Freshman | Distance | Leeds, England

Elson hit two national qualifying marks at the UConn Northeast Challenge. He sits second in the NE10 behind teammate Clement Paillon in the 800-meter run, and leads the conference in the 1500-meter run, more than six seconds ahead of the next-fastest time in the NE10.


NE10 Men's Field Rookie of the Week

Solomon King, Stonehill
Sophomore | Sprints/Jumps | Norwood, Mass.

King registered a pair of top-three finishes on the day, scoring 12 points himself towards the team score. He finished third in the 100-meter dash in 11.06-seconds to lead six Stonehill entries out of 32 overall, with two Skyhawks in the top ten. King also added a third-place finish in the high jump by clearing a season-high 6-feet, 2-inches on his third attempt of his third progression of the event. 


NE10 Men's Relay of the Week

4x400 Relay, Southern Connecticut

The 4x400-meter relay team of Sachin Manning, Elijah Henry, Ramsley Exantus, and Nigel Green recorded a second place finish with a time of 3:10.08 at the UConn Northeast Challenge, the fifth fastest time in program history and less than half of a second behind first place finisher UConn. The time was also the fastest by a Southern and Northeast 10 men's 4x400-meter relay team since May 25, 2013, and the fifth best in all of Division II this season.


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Hilton Smith, American International (So. - Clayton, New Jersey)
Smith had the best showing for the NE10 in the triple jump this week. His 13.14-meter jump at the UConn Northeast Challenge is sixth overall in the conference on the year.

Joseph Santos, Assumption (Sr. - Warwick, R.I.)
Joseph Santos broke the school record in the 110 hurdles for the second time this spring at the Merrimack Alumni Classic by crossing the line second overall and first among Division II athletes in 14.90 seconds.

Jack Deehan, Bentley (Jr. - Westwood, Mass.)
During Southern New Hampshire's Penmen Relays, Deehan finished first in a field of 27 in the 800 meters with his time of 1:56.02 a personal best by 0.64 seconds. It elevated him to fifth on the Northeast-10 performance list.

Wondu Summa, Franklin Pierce (So. - Burlington, Vt.)
Hit the NCAA qualifying mark in the 10k on Friday night at Connecticut College, where he finished fifth in the event in 30:31. The time is 69th in the nation and second in the NE10.

4x100 Relay, Franklin Pierce 
Devin Jones, Stephen Harris, Ethan Pezzullo, Nathan Rinaldi -- The quartet got the baton around the track in 41.95 seconds, to win the event on Saturday at SNHU. The time ranks second in the NE10.

Ja'Lil Reynolds, The College of Saint Rose (So. - Hopewell Junction, N.Y.)
Reynolds earned the victory in the high jump at the Penmen Relays on Saturday after clearing the bar at 1.93 meters.

Nigel Green, Southern Connecticut (Sr. - Shirley, N.Y.)
Green finished in second place in the 400-meter dash at the UConn Northeast Challenge with a time of 48.00, finishing just behind one Division I athlete. He also helped his 4x400-meter relay team to a second place finish with a time of 3:10.08, the fifth fastest time in program history and less than half of a second behind first place finisher UConn. The time was also the fastest by a Southern and Northeast-10 men's 4x400-meter relay team since May 25, 2013. 

Robert Lissi, Stonehill (Sr. - Warrick, R.I.)
Lisi led Stonehill's throws at the event with his runner-up finish out of 11 competitors in the hammer throw, clearing a personal-best distance of 158-feet, even that marks the second-longest throw in the NE10 so far this spring.

Nickolas McNamee, Stonehill (Sr. - Plymouth, Mass.)
McNamee took first place out of 26 runners in the 1500-meter run in a personal-best 3:57.91, marking the fifth-fastest time in the Northeast-10 Conference so far this spring.
